I hope this person didn’t also tell you Randy Moss is definitely coming to the Packers.

Two things I’m going to be waiting for the rest of my life:
  1. Motu proprio coming from the Vatican
  2. Randy Moss coming to the Packers

Perhaps you do not trust him, but given that Benedict 16th is making a point of seeking out how we can join forces not only with the Islaminc world (e.g. UN moves to enforce ABC & abortion) but also within the Protestant world, perhaps Kaspar is simply verbalizing the Pope’s direction on ecumenical matters?

There is a bit of difference between one-on-one ecumenical action, and official Church to Church approaches. Work still continues with the Anglican/Episcopalian community (albeit much more slowly) and the Lutheran community, not to mention with the Orthodox. Taking statements out of context is an excellent way to misjudge someone’s position.
