People are trying to play the cancer card as if it makes her above criticism. It does not.

I have no agenda, believe me. I’d rub against the grain even more at DailyKOS than I do here.

I post here because most of you have differing points from my own, and I like to discuss them.

I don’t know much about Laura Ingraham. I’ve never listened to her show and I don’t have to because I am not judging her as a person. I’m not discussing her show.

All I did was link to a story. That’s it!

To hopefully end the confusion, this is all I was trying to say by linking to that story:

1.) Laura Ingraham should not be listened to as an independent 3rd party. She is obviously conservative leaning, and unfortunately took part in the same kind of games that you usually hear Hannity or Coulter playing.

2.) If she wants to be taken seriously by people like me (and I’m not saying she does or should care), she’d speak out against ideologically similar but absolutely hateful people like Hannity, especially when she’s appearing on his show.
just curious…why is Hannity hateful:confused:

I met Hannity a couple times at book signings.

I guess he’s hateful because he stays late calling people’s moms on their cell phones and leaving cute messages.

Please don’t pretend you have no ‘agenda.’

Non sequitir my friend. You just contradicted yourself here.

I know that you don’t want to, or ever would, listen to her show because you have preconceived notions about her. It is a true shame that you seem to think that conservative = bad. Laura Ingrahm is actually one of the best pro-life voices out there in the shark infested media. It’s rare to find someone as willing to stand up for life that is employed outside of Catholic radio (God bless T.T. and the rest). Don’t assume she is bad and not worth listening to because you think (or have heard from DKOS) that Sean Hannity is a hate monger.

You’ve completely destroyed my argument. I could have sworn he was a hateful man because of all the things I hear him say on his TV and radio show, but you’re right. You pointed out that he’s nice to fans when they gather at book signings.

I don’t.

How much time do you have?

He refused to condemn Ted Nugent calling Barack Obama a “piece of ****”.

“Is it that you hate this president or that you hate America?”

“This is the moment to say that there are things in life worth fighting and dying for and one of 'em is making sure Nancy Pelosi doesn’t become the speaker.”

“Governor, why wouldn’t anyone want to say the Pledge of Allegiance, unless they detested their own country or were ignorant of its greatness?”

Just watch his show. He’s the most condescending, insulting ‘news’ personality I’ve ever seen on TV.

Nope.

I think conservative = bad because I linked to something negative about Laura Ingraham? Please explain.

I’m not assuming she is bad.

I
simply
linked
to
ONE
story.

WHY is that so hard to comprehend? You keep making mountains out of molehills. I saw her being heavily praised, she obviously has a lot of fans here. I don’t know if they were aware of the story, so I linked to it. And then you guys took it from there.

And by the way, as much as you’d love to paint me as a stereotype, I’m not. I’ve been to DailyKOS ONCE.

Well I will refer you to your post #24 where you say, “Pointing out that the woman has done terrible things in the past”…also , “I just felt it was right to make some of her perhaps lesser known questionable activities brought to light.”
You have implied with your words that she is is of questionable character, has done more than one terrible or questionable thing or activity. Not to mention you try with words to imply that because she is friends with Sean Hannity who is a Hate Monger in your opinion…well we can leave that as a fill in the blank, right? You made the implication, we can decide if she is of the same cloth? See your words imply more than a link to one story. WHY is that so hard to comprehend?

Yes, I did use the word SOME because it would sound even goofier to say “I thought I would point out the one thing Laura Ingraham has ever done wrong”.

No, I was not at all implying that. If I thought Laura Ingraham was on the level of Hannity or Coulter then I’d flat out say so.

They don’t, but some have already labeled me and so anything I post is going to be looked at differently.

That one time you visited Daily KOS—wouldn’t be when you bought it?

😉

Sure, that sounds goofy, but it was not your only option. For instance, you could have said “I don’t know much about Laura Ingraham, I never listen to her show (as you admitted in a previous post), but I don’t agree with what she did according to insert source here.”
Whether you meant to imply or not, you made a connection, Sean Hannity- Hate Monger- who adores- Laura Ingraham. There is the implication. You continue to spin your words, however, it is what it is. In light of that, I don’t see any point in continuing this conversation.
Peace:)

Since this discussion has veered toward a tit-for-tat with nothing to do with the EWTN interview itself, this thread is now closed.

Thank you all for participating.
