So, what does the average person do? Go to their doctor and ask for a prescription for cocaine or crack or heroin? And who will pay for the treatment of those that become addicted? And how will they work if they get fired for being habitually high on the job? People are going to make money off the sale of these drugs, create harm to the user, and then the same people will own the treatment centers so that the user can what? Stop buying product? But as far as Return On Investment - no worries. There will always be a new batch of brand new users and the cycle will just continue and continue and continue. And the money will keep rolling in on the supply end and the treatment end.

And for those who lose their kids to Child Protective Services because they get high all the time and are charged with child neglect and/or abuse? No problem. The kids will be put in buildings and the same people who make the drugs, and operate the treatment centers, will own those buildings too. And get paid by who?

So, how will the average “legal” drug user spend his day? Get up, go to work, come home, get high from 7 to 8 PM, watch a little TV and go to bed?

Bad enough that in Michigan, there are commercials and billboards that state: “If you drive drunk, you go to jail.” An acquaintance of mine was picked up by the police for driving drunk. He went to jail, paid a fine and had his driver’s license suspended.

Things could be set up where adults need prescriptions or could be set up where they need to be 21, or it could be some combination of the 2, possibly depending on the drug or the ammt of drug, who knows? What we do know is the drug war is a failure and doesn’t reduce drug use and costs trillions.

Who pays for the court costs and prison housing of drug users now? Have a problem with that?

High on the job, drunk on the job…same difference…can be handled same way.

Do alcohol manufacturers own alcohol treatment centers? There is no reason to believe that the drug sellers will own tx centers. But if they did, so long as the tx is working, who cares. The point is the current policy and practices are NOT working.

People make money off of booze and cigarette sales and create harm to the user. same difference.

Yes, demand has remained constant over the decades with the war on drugs. I would rather see the money go to people other than the mob and terrorist organizations and international drug lords. What about you? You like where the drug money goes now?

Ppl loose their kids to CPS now. If war on drug money was divereted to tx people would not loose their kids to CPS b/c of jail. And they may get clean with the added funding to treatment, better for the kids than things are today.

We don’t KNOW how things will work out, but we have an idea based on the history of alcohol prohibtion and Al Capone.

Nowadays we have billions spent annually fighting a war and not having a positive impact. Seems like a poor policy to me, especially because of the mass murders. I say we try something else since the current policy and practices are clearly NOT working.

If you think they are effective, tell me how so. Also, I encourage you to watch leap’s intro video and explain to me how what they are saying is wrong. It’s the main vid that pops up on the left when you click 'watch a video at www.leap.cc

Watch and learn. Or hide from the truth.

God Bless,
Bill

We don’t know how things will work out? That violates common sense. I didn’t supply the Michigan drunk driving link for nothing.

There is every reason to believe the exact same thing will happen with legal illegal drugs. The same things.

The only thing I can tell from your secondary references is this.
  1. Who cares what happens to ordinary people?
  2. This is a plan with one purpose. To destabilize countries where illegal drugs are grown and manufactured. Let’s just be up front with that.
  3. And terrorists? Sure, I’m against terrorism. Cripple their cash flow? Sure, I’m all for it. Fire bomb the poppy fields and fire bomb the marijuana fields. It’s all about National Security, right?
I’m all for crime prevention. I’m not for creating a generation of addicts.

Yeah. I remember when a handful of stupid teenagers in the 1960s couldn’t wait to turn 21 so they could be drunks. It only got worse as time passed as the US became less civilized. Yeah. I remember the stupid idiot I knew in the early 90’s who wasn’t content to have a few drinks. He wanted to get wasted! I refused his invitation to join him at the bar. WE ALL KNOW HOW THAT ENDED: Drive drunk and you automatically go to jail. And alcohol has been legal for a long time. You just want to ignore seeing the whole thing end up where we KNOW how it ended up after decades of legal drinking.

He would brag about him and his buddy being so wasted they had to crawl to their car, and end up sleeping in it. Oh yeah! Great fun!!!

I can’t wait to see the ads on TV RIGHT NOW. “They used to be illegal but now that we have the FREEDOM to use Crack - DO IT RESPONSIBLY!”

I’m not going to tell little Jimmy and Little Johnny: “You know, these drugs used to be illegal, but once you turn 21, I DON"T CARE WHAT HAPPENS TO YOU.”

Lies. I won’t promote lies. But I’m all for destroying illegal drugs, especially if they fund terrorism. That is a worthy goal. That is in everybody’s best interest.

Peace,
Ed

And if he lived during alcohol prohibtion I’m as sure as you are than the thought of touching alcohol wouldn’t have crossed his mind, right Ed? lol

If you have the means to destroy the poppy and coca fields I’m 100% certain that the major meth manufacturors would FULLY FUND the operation. lol

When there is demand you simply can not stop the supply. Someone is always going to be willing to do what it takes to make a profit where they see an opportunity to do so.

Watch that video yet Ed? I’m interested in hearing what you have to say about it, assuming you have the ability and willingness to watch it all the way through with an open mind.

God Bless Ed,
Bill

Methamphetamine. Referred to as 'the poor man’s cocaine. In other words, they have a certain slice of the illegal drug market. If cocaine didn’t exist a fair portion of cocaine users would choose to use methamphetamine as an alternative rather than nothing or coffee. My point is if they could wipe out the worlds supply of cocaine they would stand to make a huge financial profit in doing so (assuming they could do so and live, get away with it). So I’m sure they would fund destroying the coca fields so no cocaine would be available and therefore they could usurp a large number of former cocaine customers.

What’s so hard to understand about that? I didn’t look at your link. Is it about the illicit drug called methamphetamine?

BTW, why are you avoiding watching that video? My guess at this point is that your scared to.

God Bless,
Bill
