I am interested in finding a list of possible lay Catholic organizations. I am searching for something to help me grow in my faith. I am interested in the lay groups of some of the religous orders. Anyway have any suggestions as to what to join/not to join? Thanks!🤷
 
You know that some of the religious Orders have lay Orders often called Third Order ( or secular Franciscans, Lay Carmelites, or something similar). Some would include the Franciscans, the Carmelites ODC, the Carmelites O’Carm, and the Dominicans?
The folks live in the secular state in their own homes and families. They usually have a spiritual director, most often a priest, and a period of study and discernment before first and final profession. Perhaps you could contact some of these major Orders and check out their spirituality and the possiblility of being admitted.
