I didn’t know where else to post this so I thought here would be best. I thought it may be interesting to get some other opinions.

I hope that if you are a parent you will encourage your children (lovingly) to pursue these duties and if you are yourself looking for a vocation or a lay career, I hope you will consider going into these fields as the world and Christ need good men and women in every walk of life. Don’t be discourage and think “it’s to hard” or that you will get corrupted, that is what prayer and pennance and the Catholic Church are for. The devil discourages far too many moral Catholics and our nation, and world are in a “broken”, corrupted condition because of it.

First and most importantly, Christ and His church need to have good, moral orthodox men and women to give there lives in service through priesthood and religious life. We all know that is where so many souls are needed and this is something that every orthodox Catholic should at least consider leaving themselves open to, even if not pursued.

Also, there is a great need for good, moral and orthodox men and women in many secular jobs, I always hear that so many young people go to college and just get a business degree. While this is good and we need ethical businessmen/women, I often read about professions that are in need of people. Many (I am told) to not even use there business degrees for business.

I am sure most Catholics are aware that there are some very dangerous people in many positions and I can think of many jobs where good Catholics are needed to “fight the good fight” like St. Paul. Even if one doesn’t preach always in word, we still must preach and live the Gospel in deed.

To start, I’d say that the **law profession **needs some people with a good grasp of Ethics and Moral Law. There are many who don’t understand law as it should be through the eyes of reason and Truth. Some lawyers/judges, for instance, contrdict both the U.S. Constitution *and *Natural Law. Perhaps someone else could expand on this, but the reason our system(s) “fail” are the faulty (sinful) decisions behind the lawyers and “men in black” (judges) who don’t stand up for what is wright and have a warped interpretation/understandings of things.

So…What else is needed, and why?

Priests!

Good Catholic families are great, but we need priests- and we need them NOW. I watched “The Journey Home” on EWTN a few months ago. A couple from Canada was on and they talked about the priest shortage there- I don’t remember the number of priests their diocese had, but, geographically, it was the largest in North America (or one of the largest)- the lack of priests was scary- and places like that cannot wait for more priests. God often gives people more than one option for their vocation- they themselves could potentially be successful at any one they choose to follow- but there is likely one in particular that they are most needed.

Teachers in both public schools and parochial schools
College professors in both secular colleges and Catholic ones
Social Workers
Journalists
Biologists
Activists in certain areas that you typically don’t expect religious people to be active in (e.g. animal rights groups, ecological protection groups

right on…one of my sons is an attorney and is doing the work of the Lord in his chosen field! He is the attorney of an important dept.that needs to be watched all the time. He promotes and defends the good ones and tries his best to demote or get fired or dismissed the bad ones…thus he has made some serious enemies!!! I am very proud of him…like Samson he cleans out the ‘stables’…yes like a fifth column we must spread our good sheperds out far and wide…lets infiltrate the enemies camp as he has done ours…amen and amen

There is only one thing needed you see, not many people get this way because they are so locked up in old preconceived notions that they dont allow themselves to see past it and its only three words Trust in God thats it from that idea stems everything so to cap it all to really get more lay people into Service to the church Trust in God thats it and from their example god willing there will be more vocations

peace and blessing
