The Saturday before Good Friday is known as Lazarus Saturday. It’s traditionally the day that Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead, and “sealed his fate”.

Please remember in prayer the comatose; those in like-states; and those who care for them. Wear green if at all possible. Please, also remember our new Congregation’s St. Lazarus Raised Ministry.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fountain of Mercy for us, I trust in You!

The proposed Sisters of St Lazarus Raised will be wearing green habits with white capelet and scapular, and navy blue veil. Their motto is “Veritas et Spes”. Green is the color of Hope in the Church color scheme.
 
For those in comas and like states, their families and caretakers:

Oh, St. Joseph, whose protection is so great, so strong, so prompt before the throne of God. I place in you all my interests and desires. Oh, St. Joseph, do assist me by your powerful intercession, and obtain for me from your divine Son all spiritual blessings, through Jesus Christ, our Lord. So that, having engaged here below your heavenly power, I may offer my thanksgiving and homage to the most loving of Fathers.

Oh, St. Joseph, I never weary of contemplating you, and Jesus asleep in your arms; I dare not approach while He reposes near your heart. Press Him in my name and kiss His fine head for me and ask him to return the Kiss when I draw my dying breath. St. Joseph, Patron of departing souls - Pray for us.
