I understand what you are trying to say and, as I have previously stated, we must use human language to communicte therefore we are limited in our terms. God is not a something, but rather a Someone, therefore we must speak of God as a Person. But we cannot, in view of Church teaching and understanding, attatch gender when speaking of His true nature. He is Father in “relationship”, not in reference to gender.Hi Steve:
The idea that God is a male actually originated with the Hebrews and has been continued down through the ages to this day. Jesus Himself refered to Him as Father and we always say “Him” and not “Her” or “It”. Assuming that He is male does help in our trying to understand His actions in relation to us.
I am not trying to contradict the Church, create controversy, or argument. I am stating plain fact. Intelligence, Logic, and what has been revealed to us in Holy Scripture is the only thing that we can go by or refer to. And yes, God is not human, He is divine and does not need sexuality for anything. Shalom haMeshiach.

"We ought therefore to recall that God transcends the human distinction between the sexes. He is neither man nor woman; he is God. He also transcends human fatherhood and motherhood, although he is their origin and standard; no one is father as God is Father." (CCC par 239)
