Hello all,

A bit of housekeeping: I have set up this new account here using " Ceeboo " as that is the name I have used recently on other boards and wanted to be transparent if anyone here also posts on the other boards I mention.

On to my contribution.

I am Catholic and have recently spent several months on a Mormon Apologetic and Discussion Board ( MADB ), I wanted to share my experiences I had there with ya’ll here.

First, I was warmly welcomed by the great majority of members at MADB and found most of them to be very respectful of my beliefs while I was there.( I tried to extend them this same courtesy )

Putting aside our obvious differences ( Catholic and LDS ),I wanted to offer a few things that have and do speak volumes to me as I was in their sand box.

There were many LDS members that were most gracious in extending me their hand of friendship as they gave enormous effort to share their beliefs and perspective with me. ( This was almost always for my benefit ). I have gained a mountain of respect for several LDS folks that I found to be highly knowledgable, even handed, and clearly good and decent human beings.

Amongst the laughs, smiles, and sharing that were frequent, I am most humbled to suggest that I truly admire a few of the devout LDS people I had the pleasure of meeting in my time there.

Simply put, I just wanted to give a kind " shout out " and an enormous THANK YOU to the many who were more then patient with me, treated me with kindness, and made me feel more then welcome to be there.

I hope I can/will treat others the way I was treated.🙂

Peace,
Ceeboo
