Some people will say that about
anyone waving a big hammer about!

“Hello… Have you heard about Jesus Christ?”
The next time I get
that one, I’m answering with, “Yes. What would you like to know?”
Once I put out a St. Francis statue they stopped.
Last time I was being pesticides, I had my Remuda, my Weed-be-gone, and such in the cart, but couldn’t find “Proddy be gone!” for the life of me

[however, I
can set off my sprinklers with my cellphone with my new custom system . . .]
I’ve heard it’s best, if they come to your home, to offer them a drink and to ask them lots of questions to really get them to think critically.
Years ago, I had a couple of JW’s on my doorstep, who were baffled when I wouldn’t commit to either Biblical literalism or “just a story.” They had apparently
never considered the possibility of anything in between . . .
So I asked which account of Creation I was supposed to take literally–and they denied that there were two accounts.
I pointed out that the seven days and Adam and Eve were separate, and they were willing to take that as books 1 and 2, but said that they were both literal.
But things don’t happen in the same order, so which should I take literally. “Yes they do.”
At which point I gave up and sent them on their way . . .
