I know that part. My take was that there seemed to be a few too many posts from a certain Mormon on the subject of the Jews writing the Bible and felt it was meant to disparge not only them, but the Scriptures as well, so I pointed to the fact that Jesus was a Jew on the off chance that the poster still has some affection left for Jesus. I could be wrong.

I get kinda sensitive with anti-semitism as there is more than one Jew in my family tree and a few friends I loved dearly who are Jewish. I perceived the posts to mean if anyone would even consider reading “Jewish” literature (which the Bible seems to be to the person posting)…and claim it is credible…knowing it is Jewish…

But I could have misunderstood. It remains for the person who posted the remarks to express their love for the Jews.

Does my Jewish heritage preclude be from becoming a good Mormon? I hope so.

Why is the Christ Jesus holding a book out in front of him?
No Cross?

Bogus stuff.

He did read the scrolls, in synagouge but this is a bound book, I assume the bible. I assume the intent is that Jesus is holding out the old and new testatments to us?

Hogwash.

The people of Noah’s time thought the same of him, what happened.? the people of JESUS’s time cried blasphemy and they crucified Him ? Could we be wrong about a prophet of God as it has been said thet his name will be known for good and evil.
 
BoM - Why? I say it because it is a work of fiction.

A book of fiction that has and is inspiring more and more people to come unto CHRIST ? how can this be ? O that there where more books like unto it as it truly testifies that JESUS is the CHRIST the Son of GOD our Father.

Was it Matthew or Luke that was not believed to be Jewish?

I do think the case can be made that at least one gospel writer was not a Jew.

However, I don’t know how much value this adds to the debate.
 
Luke is traditionally considered to have been a gentile, but there is very little evidence to support the claim.

If that were your purpose, there would be no need for your missionaries to target Christians.

So, no, that is not your purpose. Your purpose is to lead people to a corrupt version of the Apostle’s teachings. This “King Follet Sermon” being an example of these corruptions.

As I have stated before, the issue of milk and meat is in the new testament. Paul tells the early church in corinth that he has given them milk and not meat because of their carnal nature. We humans are very carnal. Sometimes milk is better.
 
As I have stated earlier the King Follett sermon is considered to be one of America’s greatest religious sermons. It is revolutionary. One may not agree with it, but one has to admire it for its revolutionary christian thought.

(can you tell me when, why or how America was the destination for the “truth” to come to light when how many years of christians passed before her birth?)
