Eternal rest grant unto Mr. Monson and the other deceased person in the story, O Lord, and may perpetual light shine upon them.
May they rest in peace.
May their souls, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God rest in peace.
Amen.
Mr. Monson was the 7th Mormon prophet to make it to his 90’s.
On the other hand, only 1 pope reached that milestone- even though the Catholic Church and LDS pick leaders from the same group- aged men who have spent their lives in the faith.
Must be the good air in the American west as opposed to Rome?.
I guess my issue is why this is news. Why wouldn’t another religious leader give condolences? I would guess many of the Protestant churches also gave their condolences. Where are the articles on that?
Gazelam uses news such as this to imply the Catholic Church agrees with the LDS, some how it validates it. He doesn’t seem to understand people will give condolences regardless of religion as it is the right way to behave.
