I thought I would ask a fun question to our Mormon posters:

Will animals be in heaven?

I guess they don’t want to answer the fun questions, so I’ll answer for them.

Animals will be in heaven!
  1. When Elijah was taken, how did he get there? That’s right! on a chariot pulled by horses.
2 Kings 2:11
And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.
  1. We see white horses in heaven.
Revelation 19:11
And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
  1. We see red horses in heaven.
    Revelation 6:4
And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.
  2. We see black horses in heaven.
Revelation 6:5
And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand.
  1. We see pale horses in heaven.
Revelation 6:8
And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.

What I recall is that the LDS belief was that animals also have souls and exsisted in the pre-existance and will partake in the resurrection.

Do they go to the highest level of the Celestial Kingdom?? I dont think there has ever been a clear declaration as to exactly “where” they go.

Remember Mormons dont believe in a “heaven vs hell” scenerio.

for them its more level of various degrees of glory. Telestial, terestial and celestial. With even more divisions in those kingdoms

Yes, but it hard to ignore the Bible when it says there is a Heaven and Lake of Fire.

Well that’s one of the reasons I was curious. Since the have divided heavens, I wasn’t sure if animals would occupy any or all of those. I’m also guessing that since there is the belief that they will to be gods of their own planets, that they can make their own animals or resurrect Fifo or Fluffy.

But I am not sure.

(I thought this would be a carefree topic where everyone could have some fun from the other complex Mormon theology that was being discussed).
