I really do not think I could ever judge what is weird or not about such nuances. I mean, my faith does not define alligator flesh as meat, for the purpose of Lent*** and they actually had to make a determination about eating alligator!*** What’s a little caffeine issue. With the LDS, I am always more concerned about the visions, golden plates, reformed Egyptian, Jews visiting America before anyone else from Europe, Africa or Asia, etc. Caffeine makes sense, despite it being the greatest drug in the world.

Ha, yeah, that is true.

I guess someone, whoever it is that eats alligators, can give up alligator meat for lent now. 😃

I have and it is quite good! It tastes like fishy chicken.

Our Cajun brethren eat alligator and they certainly know how to cook it up right!
I’ll believe you. I don’t know that I could bring myself to eat a reptile. 😃 But, I’m not a big meat eater. Could easily go vegetarian except the dear hubby is a carnivore and can’t live without meat. So we cook meat for him, and I take a very small portion for myself. He would probably eat gators if given the chance.

The funny thing, is they do not have to give it up. Being a reptile, it is allowable. I guess the same would be true of rattlesnake. So, no, I do not find caffeine rules that strange.

Iepuras, the funny thing is that I haven’t had coffee yet. I’ve had tea and I like it! Wine too!
:coffee: I’ll have to go get me some.
Try this** “Coffee Recommender” survey **from Caribou Coffee. It will point out coffee types that you might like based on how you answer a few questions.

If you don’t have a store near you or if it’s not available at your grocer, you can order on line.

As a note, their house blend, Caribou Blend, is similar to Starbuck’s Verona which can be found in many groceries.
