LDS: What is the "Wedding Feast of the Lamb"?

Catholic teaching charactarizes heaven as a “wedding feast”. We partake in this feast on earth through the Eucharist, where heaven meets earth. We will partake even more fully in heaven:

"Then the angel said to me, 'Write this: Blessed are those who have been called to the wedding feast of the Lamb."

We believe that the Church is the bride and Christ is the groom. We believe this is an indication of the eternally intimate relationship we will have with our Lord in heaven, one we cannot fathom in our earthly state.

What is your understanding of the “wedding feast of the Lamb”.

Sorry, I ommitted the scriptual reference for

“Then the angel said to me, 'Write this: Blessed are those who have been called to the wedding feast of the Lamb.”

It is Rev 19:9 :o
 
A simple brunch with eggs Benedict , mimosas and bloody marys virgin or not ]would suffice,keep it simple.

Believe it or not this is a serious subject which concerns our eternal destiny. Thanks for the stab at humor, but do you have anything of substance to add on the subject, keeping in mind that the question is directed to LDS members considering their doctrine of eternal marriage with our earthly spouses?
 
Is this a tough question? I realize I am not on the LDS Christmas list, but it seemed to be a legitimate question. Maybe not. 🤷

Since a muscle spasm has awakened me and now I can’t sleep for a while, I guess it’s time to answer your question.

The answer is simple enough. Read Revelation 19:2 and 7-9, then read Hosea 2 (entire chapter).

The symbolism explains itself. Christ is Jehovah, and Christ is the Lamb, and His vesture (garments) being stained with blood (Revelation 19:13) is symbolic of His atoning sacrifice.

I’m going to leave it at that.

Thanks for at least trying, Parker, but I’m not going down that road. I already know what it means from the Catholic view and have briefly explained that in the OP. I fear this will be another “read this and read that and then if you don’t agree with me the Lord isn’t ready to reveal it to you” type of answer. I’m not asking for your guidance. I just want the LDS perspective, seeing as this is the only spousal relationship in heaven mentioned.

I am waiting for Thomas Nash’s book, ‘Worthy is the Lamb’…hearing about it on EWTN…sounds like a real spiritual treasure.
