I’m looking for answer to why I keep seeing 2 Thessalonians 2:2-4:

“not to be quickly shaken in mind or alarmed, either by a spirit or a spoken word, or a letter seeming to be from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come. Let no one deceive you in any way. For that day will not come, unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God.”

Quoted to show Catholics are led astray by the pope. Anyone have any suggestions?

How does this apply to the Pope? He has never proclaimed himself to be God that I know of. I would ask them to provide evidence that a Pope has even come close to saying this. Their ignorant claim is based on hatred, not reality.

The sight you read that, avoid it like the plague. We live in the hour given to evil, and Good will be called evil. and Down called Up.

Come here more often and you’ll see real evil, find truth, and “know” what you really should be worried about.

God Bless, Gary

That sounds more like how the liberal entertainment media has conned much of the public into the worship of personal pleasure and entertainment of Self as the false savior. It sure is working. Just look at the broken homes and relationships.

If I were you I would use more self-control as to what sites to go to. A close family member has said he has been tempted to go to a pornography site just to see what people are talking about, but then he didn’t, after thinking better of it. Such a site is like spiritual pornography, when you think of the effect it is meant to have on the people paying attention to it.

I actually first heard this from a Presbyterian coworker. The sites that came up were in response to a Google search on “ex cathedra in the Bible”. Unfortunately all the links on the first page except CAF turned out to be anti Catholic rhetoric. Thanks for the (name removed by moderator)ut.

Actually, it sounds more like a warning against Protestantism to me. Many Protestant sects run around hollering about the soon to come rapture, some set dates, every headline they read as a fulfillment of prophecy…
