Leading another to sin

In some cases, I dont understand how we can avoid that. Suppose we have to stand up for our rights, and do something which would cause others to hate us and possibly act sinfully, do we have any culpability for that?
 
If we are standing upon for what is right and true, and do so without being rude and harsh, then the other person’s sin is their choice.

We are culpable if we sin and lead others into that sin or scandalize others by our sin.
