League of Mary

I hope this is the right forum, but has anyone ever heard of the League of Mary, maybe it goes by another name. Someone asked me if I wanted to join, but didn’t have time to go into details. I just wonder if anyone has heard of it.

The Legion of Mary is a wonderful organization. The do service works–teaching CCD, taking communion to homebound, as well as visiting fallen-away Catholics. They also are a very strong prayer group that says weekly rosaries as a group. In many parishes they are the folks who lead rosaries after Masses, help with the Adoration Chapel, and other similar activities. I will be starting up with our Legion group this summer now that their weekly meetings have changed to a night that I can attend.😃

THey are starting up a Legion in my parish. I have been asked to consider joining, could you tell me a little more about this as I am not familiar with it. You may PM me if you would like. I am already a member of the Ladies of Charity and have been asked to be a committee member of a long range planning committee in my parish.
