The president of Google basically says Trump voters are poor, ignorant hicks. Other executives and employees seem to agree. He also makes clear the election of Trump conflicts with Googles values. So it would stand to reason if you support Trump’s policies then Google conflicts with them. It would also be reasonable to suspect that Google works against Trump’s agenda.

Well, I guess that’s something in Google’s favor.
Like record low unemployment?
Like record economy?
Like improving relations with NK?
Like re-implementing Mexico City Policy?

Like increased pollution
Like insulting long-term allies
Like lying about Puerto Rico
Like lying about (fill in any subject you’d like)
Like giving huge tax breaks to large corporations

And since the economy and unemployment were on a long-term positive trajectory that began long before his election, he doesn’t get full credit for that.

Trump caused increased pollution?
Like insulting long-term allies
Not to defend Trump, but Obama did plenty to insult Americans
Like lying about Puerto Rico
He wasn’t lying about Puerto Rico. Corruption in PR is what cause their problems.

Obama did plenty of lying too. That didn’t necessarily stop some of his successes (ACA)

There are many who would disagree with you on that.

Everybody got the tax break. Tax breaks for businesses is a good thing. They hire more people.

Since Trump became president, there are more jobs than people to fill them.

Everybody got the tax break.
I didn’t. I’m not commenting on tax policy, or interested in starting a debate (here) about the Trump administration’s tax policy, but it’s not true that everyone got a tax break.

Google’s response:
“At a regularly scheduled all hands meeting, some Google employees and executives expressed their own personal views in the aftermath of a long and divisive election season. For over 20 years, everyone at Google has been able to freely express their opinions at these meetings. Nothing was said at that meeting, or any other meeting, to suggest that any political bias ever influences the way we build or operate our products. To the contrary, our products are built for everyone, and we design them with extraordinary care to be a trustworthy source of information for everyone, without regard to political viewpoint.”
I see nothing wrong with people in a free society expressing their opinion about the election.

don’t you guys have free speech? that would include expressing joy or sadness about a leader.

surely complaining about people who are expressing an opinion goes against free speech principles

That’s a straw man though. Has anyone claimed google executives cant way what they want? The question was more or less about whether one can trust google to not perpetuate that bias, intentionally or not, in their business offerings. Especially in light of past accusations of tinkering with their search results. I’d say that’s a fair question to ask, don’t you?

It would be a very good idea for Trump supporters to boycott Google services. It simply makes no sense for Trump supporters to provide ad revenue to Google by using Gmail, Youtube, Google search, etc.

I think it would be a good idea for everyone to boycott Google’s services (and Facebook’s, and Amazon’s, and about a dozen others, not to mention Twitter, which is ruining the American political discourse).

I don’t care about their political leanings, but, as someone once said, “if it’s free, you’re the product.”

Re: pollution—

And I definitely did not get a tax break. Many in the middle class did not. Large corporations have gotten tax breaks that were predominantly funneled to shareholders, not job creation or better wages. Many employees of large corporations like Amazon, Walmart, etc. have to resort to food stamps to supplement inadequate wages.

A lot of people did. Child credit change and some other breaks as well.

Expressing political opinions is great. Expressing them as a person of power over employees at an employee meeting is coercive. Expressing them when your company gets millions in contracts paid for by the voters for the president is foolish. Expressing them when you supposedly provide an unbiased search engine is foolish. The opinions themselves were bigoted and hateful.

What arrogance! And your post proves your obvious dislike of President Trump
will forever distort your ability to judge his
administration fairly.

I don’t do Facebook and I have never bought anything from Amazon and I don’t have a Twitter account. I would happily give up Google. Happy days for me would be when all 4 were gone!

why do you make this stuff up?

Our CO2 levels are still on a downward trend.

Pollution is not increasing

The people lying in PR seemed to be the local officials. Whole lot of corruption going on there.

Our corp tax rate is not fantastic, just competitive. You do realize we compete as a location for them, don’t you?!?!?

and that is exactly the reason for the sensationalist headline

leaked video’ like someone did something wrong in a secret cabal in china or russia or north korea like conditions.

Its called PROPAGANDA

how can a country with free speech, with many people at a company meeting that is videoed, be a secret cabal with a leaked video.

Critical thinking is needed here, and not falling for any propaganda to destroy that company
