2 The Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) said:
Please, now you are a Christian, please take out the quote after ‘the prophet’.
God does not bless him nor will he give him peace for denying the divinity of Jesus. 😉

Hadith # 11

On the authority of Abu Muhammad al-Hasan bin Ali bin Abi Taib, the grandson of the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, and who is dearest to him, may Allah be pleased with him, who said: ìI committed to memory from the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, (the following words):

"Leave that about which you are in doubt for that about which you are in no doubt."

[Al-Tirmidhi and al-Nasaíi related it, and al-Tirmidhi said: It is a good and genuine Hadith]

This hadith goes in line with Hadith # 6. In this hadith the Prophet, peace be upon him, has set a criterion by which Muslims can decide whether something is permissible or not. There is another version of this hadith where the Prophet, peace be upon him, elaborated further by saying: “Verily, truth is tranquillity and falsehood is doubt”. This means that the truth will lead to tranquillity and falsehood will lead to doubt.

Thus the criterion set by the Prophet, peace be upon him, allows us to judge what is false or wrong (i.e. something which causes us to be doubtful) and what is the truth (i.e. something which we are sure of and confident that it is correct because we feel happy and at peace with it). This hadith lays down a principle that can be applied in all aspects of one’s life. It also shows the way to truth and righteousness. Thus, this hadith is very important.

Since you know Islam better than I a former Muslims and most Muslims in the world and can explain Islam in the most elouquent way, and have been gifted with providing the most compelling proofs.

How would you join those verses from the Quran and hadiths which according to inidcate that a Muslim should lie and verses from the Quran and hadiths which indicate that a Muslim should not lie???

Below are verses and verses which indicate that a Muslim should not lie and be trustworthy taken from the Reliance of the Traveller translated by Nuh Keller, an American convert to Islam.

Allah Most High says:

(1) Allah guides not the profligate liar" (Koran 40:28).

(2) “May liars perish” (Koran 51:10). p24.

2 The Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) said:

(1) “Lying leads one to wickedness and wickedness leads one to hell. A man keeps lying until Allah records that he is an inveterate liar.”

(2) “The marks of a hypocrite are three: when he speaks he lies, when he makes a promise he breaks it, and when entrusted with something he betrays the trust.”

(3) “A believer’s natural disposition might comprise any trait other than treachery and untruthfulness.”

(Taken from Reliance of the Traveller)

In Christ,

Silouan
Actually, most muslims in the world either are jihadists or openly support them and don’t print the stuff you guys are posting because most are not practicing da’wa. They don’t have to - they live in sharia law.

I have already posted to you where mohammed not only lied but told his followers to lie.

And allah didn’t say the things above - mohammed did.

You guys pick and chose and mostly you pick and chose the abrogated surahs. I will post again what muslims, you and people like you, do not want us to know about islam:

**Violence, terror and islam
faithfreedom.org/Articles/Mahfuzur30411.htm

this article goes into how jihad is essential to islam as the resurrection is to Christianity.
faithfreedom.org/Articles…rKing50710.htm

a quote from the above article: The last two chapters of the Qur’an are chapter 5 and chapter 9, in their correct chronological order, Allah’s Last Call. The opinions of scholars differ over which is the last chapter, but they both contain the final orders for all Muslims. These laws abrogate, cancel ALL the earlier, ‘peaceful and tolerant’ verses of the Qur’an. These final and absolute orders demand Jihad, holy war against all non-Muslims forever. All non-Muslims must be killed, enslaved and controlled by Muslims. Islam must rule the world. Islam is in fact a License to Kill in the name of Allah. Holy War is the holy law of Islam. This unique law called Jihad gives all Muslims the right to attack and kill non-Muslims, to loot, rape and enslave them, and to rule the world in the name of Allah.

Jihad is as essential to Islam as the Resurrection is to Christianity.

And muslims hunt for the peaceful passages to try to convince us that islam is of those passages. If it were then we wouldn’t see the death and destrucion, and the deception.**

Please, now you are a Christian, please take out the quote after ‘the prophet’.
God does not bless him nor will he give him peace for denying the divinity of Jesus. 😉
Wasn’t he quoting the Quran or Hadith, which always venerate Muhammad in this way? I agree with your reasoning regarding the divinity of Jesus, but take out the formula after the mention of Muhammad and you wouldn’t have a quote anymore.

Here are some more koran and hadiths that are about deception. It seems allah couldn’t make up its mind about deception either. Or is it that mohammed was making up allah as his days passed and when deception was convenient - he says to do it, when it wasn’t convenient, he said not to do it?

Bukhari:V7B67N427 “The Prophet said, ‘If I take an oath and later find something else better than that, then I do what is better and expiate my oath.’”

Qur’an 9:3 “Allah and His Messenger dissolve obligations.”

Qur’an 66:2 “Allah has already sanctioned for you the dissolution of your vows.”

Bukhari:V4B52N268 “Allah’s Apostle said, ‘War is deceit.’”

Qur’an 4:142 “Surely the hypocrites strive to deceive Allah. He shall retaliate by deceiving them.”

Bukhari:V7B71N661 “Magic was worked on Allah’s Apostle and he was bewitched so that he began to imagine doing things which in fact, he had not done.”

Bukhari:V6B60N8 "Umar said, 'Our best Qur’an reciter is Ubai. And in spite of this, we leave out some of his statements because Allah’s Apostle himself said, “Whatever verse or revelation We abrogate or cause to be forgotten We bring a better one.”

Qur’an 33:11 “In that situation the Believers were sorely tried and shaken as by a tremendous shaking. And behold! The Hypocrites and those in whose hearts is a disease said: 'Allah and His Messenger promised us nothing but delusion; they have promised only to deceive us.”

Qur’an 33:14 “Say: Flight will not avail you if you flee from death, killing, or slaughter. In that case you will not be allowed to enjoy yourselves but a little while. Say, ‘Who will screen you, saving you from Allah if he intends to harm and injure you?’”

Ishaq:383 “One of the young men’s fathers confronted Muhammad and said, ‘You have robbed my son of his life by your deception and brought great sorrow to me.’”

Qur’an 33:21 “You have in (Muhammad) the Messenger of Allah a beautiful pattern of conduct for any one to follow.”

And that last quote is a jewel of a quote. So, we see that when mohammed feels like lying, he lies. And from the fewer quotes about not lying - those are the ones the followers of mohammed post - then post those to show the unknowing to fool them into thinking islam is peaceful. But, they are deceiving us when they deny and/or ignore the passages about lying - are they not?

I have more about all the value mohammed placed on women.

This is very disturbing too.

Stonings.

mohammed told his followers that they are to like stonings.

Jesus stopped a stoning and mohammed encouraged them. These few words say mountains about the differences between Jesus and mohammed.

Many hadith, including Sahih Bukhari give proof that Stoning was ordered and practiced by Muhammed, for example:

Volume 2, Book 23, Number 413:
Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Umar :
The Jew brought to the Prophet a man and a woman from amongst them who have committed (adultery) illegal sexual intercourse. He ordered both of them to be stoned (to death), near the place of offering the funeral prayers beside the mosque."

here are more hadiths about stoning:

faithfreedom.org/Articles/stoning.htm

Why is it that when one shows a muslim their own hadiths, or koranic surahs, they have a problem with ME?!!
Remember that scene in “Oliver” where Oliver asks for “MORE?” and shows the headmaster the empty bowl?

Showing them their empty bowl is “annoying” to them, and gets pretty much the same reaction. 🙂

Which is basically saying that “personal revelation” is the measure of things in choosing one’s behavior.

This is utterly contrary to “personal revelation” being that which must be tested against “public revelation” (via the Magisterium, of course).

Thus, once again, the demons would have you “decide about all matters on the basis of ‘it FEELS good’”.

…the best tactic yet at fracturing the Christian world.

that is a very interesting analogy. I like it. thanks!

It is empty and I feel sorry for them. It must be why the total frustration when they are unable to deal with it. How can they argue against their own koran and hadiths?

What they SHOULD do is simply state “islamic dogma” as we do in the catechism (the CCC).

Then, they could quite easily just cite dogma (and discipline, and elsewhat related to islam) and have US deal with it!

But then, even THEY aren’t dishonest enough to definitively state that they speak from the authority of God. No, actually they DO do that, but their “fellows” (the OTHER imams, or whomever it is that makes “definitive statements”) tend to bash them about the head when they do, so they make only “provisional” statements about everything.

How is a “believer” to deal with such a (cowardly or honestly?) way of doing things?

…which is why I’m not a moslem.

I have been on message boards such as this long enough to know the kind of questions that Christians themselves are asking about the doctrine of the Trinity for example.

It is just so very easy to see that it sure is NOT making them feel good about their own religious convictions.

this is why islam is so incidious. One guy can make some agreement with this group, but the other guy didn’t - so anything goes.

And any agreement will only last 10 years - at the most!

Turkey, at one point recently, was going to rewrite the koran. the problem with that is the same as the agreement scenario and most likely it would be for muslims, like the ones on these threads, who would push it at us and tell us it is truth and blah blah blah - but the others would not and would be following the original koran.

Why is it that no masses of ‘moderate’ muslims try to stop the jihadists? They outnumber the jihadists. Or do they? See the problem?

Another problem with rewriting it is that mohammed said WE rewrote the bible to explain away why he screwed up the Bible stories so badly and that WE would be the ones going to hades. And muslims will not do that for themselves - rewrite the koran because they think they will go to hades because mohammed said so. Basically allah = mohammed and they actually think that is not true.

So, in the meantime what do we get - abrogated passages, untruths as to the status of women and us infidels, and the list goes on. But, that is ok in islam because deception is ok per mohammed’s own words and actions.

See the problem with islam? It is a big problem. And with ‘sudden jihad syndrome’ a very real phenomenon, mixed with our own leaders in politically correct mode and multiculturalism - we have opened ourselves to a big problem as the muslim population grows and tells more and more ignorant people that islam is peaceful… benign… and even though the violence around this globe and even on our own lands speak otherwise, we want to believe the best. Because that is how we are taught.

And being told by appeasers that we are the bad ones for knowing islam and knowing history - the facts get muddled.

We can also say that the difficulties and extremity taught in the Quran (or at least some interpretations of the Quran, which for all intents and purposes become THE word of the Quran for those who subscribe to those views) are also causing distress for its believers. The difference is that the Trinity is a THEOLOGICAL position, not at relatable to the sorts of verses that draw many people away from the Quran by calling for worldly explotiation and abuse of unbelievers all in the cause of Allah. There are also theological arguments against what the Quran says, of course, but I will leave those to the ex-Muslims and Muslim-background Christians who know them best.

Not only do I feel good about Jesus and what He brought to us, I feel that learning about islam has brought be back to being a practicing Catholic. Thank you.

I have also learned some of my own history along with islamic history - and that includes the Crusades. And what the muslims, and our own liberal/left wingers, have asserted about them are just not true. I have not finished the book, so I am not going to write too much more.

I have been reading the Bible more to find passages, and I have prayed more. And I cannot fathom how anyone can convert from Christianity to islam. It just doesn’t make sense to me.

I can believe in the Trinity too. Why can’t God manifest Himself as a human being? HE IS GOD and can do anything! He created EVERTHING - manifesting Himself as a human being would be nothing in the scheme of things!

Sometimes I just say the Sign of the Cross just to say ‘In the Name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit’ just because I like saying it and taking a moment to reflect on that. I love it. In fact, words pale in comparison to what I feel when I say those words and just take a pause.

When I read about islam, its prophet and its koran and hadiths - I am just appalled that anyone would fall for this. It is so full of errors, violence, chaos and stagnation. It is the ‘anti’ of what Christianity is. It has caused more human misery than I could ever imagine. I have read on China and Russia and we are only talking a few centuries of death and chaos with communism - but islam has brought it for many more centuries. And it is still going on.

This was a good idea Hamba. Keep going with it and try to tune out all the noise. Silouan, you are a refreshing light on this forum! I appreciate your knowledge. You should also be wary of getting distracted by the noise of so many on this thread. They will not listen to you. It is best that you only address those posters who you know are sincere. You cannot argue with the echo-chamber that seems to migrate to all Islam-related threads.

maybe you should do your own research. No one is stopping you - I have given many websites to pick and chose from. I have posted many books to pick and chose from. To find out that maybe the ‘noise’ might be correct would be terrible news.

islamic history will really be bothersome when one finds out about it - it will even bother some to find out the truth about why the Crusades were called (muslims on a jihad) - or why Thomas Jefferson cracked open a koran and saved a lot of our sailors from the Barbary Pirates (muslims on a jihad) - or that every single hadith I posted is from the muslim’s own ahaditha and every single surah I posted is from the muslim’s own koran.

I find your post rather disturbing in that you assume the worse when you obviously haven’t done any in depth study of your own.

Islam and the Problem of Rationality
americanthinker.com/2006/12/islam_and_the_problem_of_ratio.html

These hadiths are some of the ones that I find very disturbing.

**Ishaq:510 **“We ask Thee for the booty of this town and its people. Forward in the name of Allah.’ He used to say this of every town he raided.”

Ishaq:327 “Allah said, ‘A prophet must slaughter before collecting captives. A slaughtered enemy is driven from the land. Muhammad, you craved the desires of this world, its goods and the ransom captives would bring. But Allah desires killing them to manifest the religion.’”

Here is one about slavery - taking others and their property of those who lived around him:

**Bukhari:V5B59N512 **“The captives of Khaybar were divided among the Muslims. Then the Messenger began taking the homes and property that were closest to him.”

here is different wording of the same hadith, it describes the slaughter of the children that took place and the enslavement of their women on mohammed’s command:
**Volume 5, Book 59, Number 512:
Narrated Anas: **

The Prophet offered the Fajr Prayer near Khaibar when it was still dark and then said, “Allahu-Akbar! Khaibar is destroyed, for whenever we approach a (hostile) nation (to fight), then evil will be the morning for those who have been warned.” Then the inhabitants of Khaibar came out running on the roads. The Prophet had their warriors killed, their offspring and woman taken as captives. Safiya was amongst the captives, She first came in the share of Dahya Alkali but later on she belonged to the Prophet . The Prophet made her manumission as her ‘Mahr’.

This goes into the battle some more - and we see here where mohammed says that the phenomenon we see now that those who die while killing infidels are labeled as martyrs.

**Tabari VIII:116
Ishaq:511 **“So Muhammad began seizing their herds and their property bit by bit. He conquered home by home. The Messenger took some of its people captive, including Safiyah and her two cousins. The Prophet chose Safiyah for himself.”

**Ishaq:511 **“When Dihyah protested, wanting to keep Safiyah for himself, the Apostle traded for Safiyah by giving Dihyah her two cousins. The women of Khaybar were distributed among the Muslims.”

**Tabari VIII:130 **“The Prophet conquered Khaybar by force after fighting. Khaybar was something that Allah gave as booty to His Messenger. He took one-fifth of it and divided the remainder among the Muslims.”

**Bukhari V4B52N46 **“I heard Allah’s Apostle saying, ‘Allah guarantees that He will admit the Muslim fighter into Paradise if he is killed, otherwise He will return him to his home safely with rewards and booty.’”

Hadith # 12

On the authority of Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, who said : The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said :

"Part of the perfection of someone’s Islam is his leaving alone that which does not concern him."

[Hadith hasan - Recorded by Tirmidhi]

This hadith states that a believer should avoid things that are of no concern to him. They are of no benefit to this life nor to the hereafter, in terms of belief, speech or actions. If a person is not able to take care of all the necessary matters, why then should he get involved in the unnecessary matters that are of no real concern?

Islam protects society as a whole from any kind of harm and much of the harm inflicted on the society are due to people indulging in the unnecessary matters like meddling into the affairs of others when one has no right or responsibility over the particular issue. These types of practices normally lead to great evil in the society. The Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, recommended a way to avoid societal problems.

A believer should train him/herself to concentrate to be involved in the beneficial matters so that this in itself will be the person’s attitude. One should not waste time, money and effort in things that are of no benefit in this life and the hereafter.

In other words, to ignore all the nasty, violent hadiths and surahs and to only listen to the muslims who are trying to mislead as to what islam is all. To become zombie robots and accept the teachings of mohammed and believe in his message which was … all about himself and to do what mohammed said and did… a looter, a mass murderer, a marauding gangster, a pedophile, an assasin, a lustful womanizer, and what not. To do what muslims do and continue believing in him without blinking.:hypno:

Those hadiths are from your books.

So does this mean that all Muslims will finally leave the Bible alone? And all unbelievers alone? That would be nice.

I’ll believe it when I see it.
