Hey everyone! I’ve been trying to learn about Orthodoxy and Eastern spirituality in general, but I’m having a hard time. Reading is great, but a lot of the time I don’t have access to the books or its just easier to listen on my computer.

So, I’m more asking for this; Does anyone have or know of any online Orthodox audio or video resources? Like. “What it means to be Orthodox,” “Orthodox Spirituality” or the like. I’m even down for really good podcasts or radio show archives.

I just want to learn so much more (beyond just history) but I don’t know where to look. Thanks everyone!

Ancient Faith Radio is an on-line Orthodox Christian radio station & has tons of relevant podcasts 🙂

Yes, Ancient Faith Radio is an awesome resource. Try the podcast called Speaking the Truth in Love by Fr. Thomas Hopko. Also, Glory to God by Fr. Stephen Freeman, which is just a podcast version of his blog posts from his blog, “Glory to God for all things”.

I just knew you’d have something to suggest haha! 🙂 Thank you.

And thanks to ComeHome2Rome as well!

Fr. Tom covers a lot of topics, so you will probably get to find something that would answer your question, whatever it may be.

Also, reading books is a great way to learn too. You can buy e-books from Amazon like Met. Kallistos’ “The Orthodox Church” and “The Orthodox Way”. Both are very good introductions into Orthodoxy.

The Orthodox Church is a historical and political look at the history of the Church. For Orthodox spirituality, I would much more strongly recommend The Orthodox Way for the OP.
