I was raised with The Jesuit so I understand how the Pope Francis words things and tries to see the good in all God’s children. I was wondering how many people have tried to learn about the Jesuits since Pope Francis became Pope, especially those who are not very pleased with him?

Pope Francis is God’s anointed and that is that, it makes no difference. What is going through my mind is when Moses was appointed Leader and the people murmured against him well we all know what happened then.

Well since Pope Francis became pope I am in discernment on whether I should enter the Jesuits.

I am not sure it’s a good thing to try to do background study to try to understand the Pope. It may lead to interpreting what he says instead of just listening.

Amen!

I’m quite biased because I came from a Jesuit University and is very familiar with their spirituality…This is of great advantage because I understand Francis better because he speaks Jesuit…everything from him stirs me…and because of him I’m beginning to really appreciate the other popes such as Benedict and Saint John Paul II. But as a person, I believe Pope Francis is really very spiritually gifted. Everything that he says bring something new…He stirs and attracts so many souls…the Holy Spirit is really with him…and I always laugh when some catholics/protestants would ask if he is the anti-christ…like seriously? He is full of Christ.

I asked because on another thread some are getting quite upset with some of the things the Pope is saying or not saying or the way he is saying it. Knowing the Jesuit ways why the Pope does and says what he does, but other that have not known them I think are misunderstanding and getting worked up for no good reason.

Because I had only known Jesuit I was a little taken back by Pope Benedict so I learned more about him which help to see where he was coming from and what he had lived through. I don’t think it hurts to learn and expand are knowledge, do you?
