One of the hardest things for me as a protestant, coming from a reformed Baptist background, has been the intercession of the saints, and in particular, Our blessed mother. I read True Devotion to Mary and at first it horrified me. Then I read it again and it still made me tremble with fear. But on about the fourth reading through, I started to catch glimpses of how helpful Mary could be to my faith in and relationship with Jesus.
But one thing eludes me, and I don’t know how to get past it - I trust her intercession, I pray her rosary daily, but I’m not sure I love her like I really should. Perhaps it is fear on my part, but I really want to, I just don’t know what I’m missing…
