Barbra Streisands incredibly infuriating and insanely uncalled for kinetic version of Jingle Bells…one hasnt been truly annoyed and befuddled as to WHY would someone do this to that song… :mad:

I also dislike Grandma…run over…etc…

I like Madonnas Santa Baby…

I just heard Jessica Simpson do her version of I saw mommy kissing Santa Claus… I never associated that song with adultry and sex until now… 😦

Re: O Holy Night…the only person I have come upon to do this song justice has been Andy Williams…as well as Ave Maria

I also agree that only Bing Crosby should do White Christmas! 👍
 
So reading through this list, I am wondering if what we are most bothered by is hearing the same stinking 40 or 60 or however many songs OVER AND OVER AND OVER.

I know that I have been seeking out all kinds of Christmas music from traditional to classical to jazz to novelty to what have you. Doing this, I can get a great variety and a rich offering. Sure there is some bad stuff in there, but nothing ventured nothing gained.

Speaking of which, some Christmas music which you may not have heard before might be heard Monday night on WDCB (they stream) from 8-10 Central.

Right now, I am listening to some good stuff on WXRT (which is also great). At the moment, it’s Louis Armstrong reading a version of Twas The Night Before Christmas.

That’s because nobody can match Judy Garland.
 
I hate em ALL! I work in retail and all day its the same songs. Mayby a dozen all sang by different artist! Nothing religious untill Christmas Eve. The only thing I like about Christmas now is Christ.
 
a new low has been reached by the Chipmunks and Jackie Velasquez reprising the Chipmunks Christmas song.
