I have a question? If someone leaves the catholic church after being baptised and joins another religion will that person still go to heaven or are they automatticaly condemmed for abandoing Christ’s Church
Only if culpability for the act is in some way mitigated. For instance, if the person was forced into leaving the Church through coercion.I have a question. Ive been wondering if someone leaves the catholic church after being baptised and joins a different religion would they still get into heaven im just curious
yes. everyone can get into heaven. but everyone who is there, is there because of Jesus.I have a question. Ive been wondering if someone leaves the catholic church after being baptised and joins a different religion would they still get into heaven im just curious
Can you expend on this statement, please?yes. everyone can get into heaven. but everyone who is there, is there because of Jesus.
So if someone was so prideful, arrogant and disobedient that they refused to conform their conscience to what the Catholic Church, via the power of the Holy Spirit, teaches as truth, then God will just give him or her a pass for rejecting the only Church He established?Maybe im wrong in my view but i think if someone was baptised and belivied and that person constantly sough God’s will and for w.e reason that person felt that he had made a mistake and felt that God led him to a different religion (a christian one in this case) i dont think God would send that person to Hell if they were truly trying to serve God and do what they thought was will
Im not saying that im saying if they prayed to god asking his guidance and after that time of prayer and study and seeking they felt that God was guiding therm somewhere else they left how is that arrogant if they are trying to submit to God’s will i think your the one who is being arrogantSo if someone was so prideful, arrogant and disobedient that they refused to conform their conscience to what the Catholic Church, via the power of the Holy Spirit, teaches as truth, then God will just give him or her a pass for rejecting the only Church He established?
Wow, that is an interesting take on the mercy of the God and efficacy of the Sacrifice of Jesus. Taken to it’s logical conclusion, it renders Christ’s passion and death utterly needless and meaningless.
i can’t really afford to expend on anything. Can you expend on this statement, please?
actually, “taken to its logical conclusion” it would mean that Christ’s passion and death (and let’s not forget His resurrection!) was sufficient for all sins. that would be the logical conclusion.Wow, that is an interesting take on the mercy of the God and efficacy of the Sacrifice of Jesus. No. The logical extension is that if people reject Christ, His sacrifice and His (one and only) Church then they still get to Heaven. (This differs from those who through no fault of their own are ignorant.)actually, “taken to its logical conclusion” it would mean that Christ’s passion and death (and let’s not forget His resurrection!) was sufficient for all sins. that would be the logical conclusion.
You are correct in that however by not following what Jesus taught us IS rejecting him. You can’t get to heaven by JUST believing in him and it can’t be just faith alone that is not following by works.i can’t really afford to expend on anything.
do you want me to expand on it?
sure, the only way into heaven is through Jesus for He is the way, the truth and the life and no one comes to the Father except through Him. that doesn’t necessarily mean that only Christians here on earth will go to heaven, but it means that everyone in heaven is a Christian.
