Leaving pro-life literature, where is it legal?

I understand the concern of some who don’t like finding “cause” literature/cards lying around. But I think this cause is in a separate category.

******Perhaps we are all forgetting that this is about the horrific KILLING of millions of CHILDREN who are completely unable to defend themselves (although markings on some of them show they tried!). It is NO different from torturing and killing 2 year olds, or 10 year olds, or adults. IF you have ANY objection to that terminology whatsoever, you need to shut your mouth until you have watched the videos and looked at the pictures of abortion.

** Our children see graphic pictures of war and the holocaust. They hear explanations of other terrible events. Perhaps the reason we don’t want our children “exposed” to abortion realities is because of the especially horrific evil of it. How could ANYONE sleep at night, knowing that’s going on? So then what are YOU doing about it? I did not want my little ones “exposed” either, but I decided it was unavoidable for the sake of the children dying. And you know what? They were appalled - not at the gore - but that anyone would willingly kill a baby for ANY reason. They haven’t been “scarred for life”.

Every 12 seconds, another child is mercilessly slaughtered, and we go right on as if nothing’s happening. WHAT has to happen for people to truly CARE? GRAPHIC IMAGES - that’s what. There is nothing like actually watching a baby’s arm being pulled off, and then the body pulled off of the head, etc, to bring home to you what abortion really is and make you ashamed you’ve been apathetic. The time for “gentleness” in abortion information is LONG past – 40 million children past.

All of you chattering on about how irritating leaflets/cards are and the horrible evil of showing these pictures had BETTER be awfully busy trying to STOP the horrible evil. Ohhh - but it’s so much easier to self-righteously condemn methods than to actually be engaged in the battle. What would the neighbors think? Perhaps you’d do well to wonder what God thinks.

If the pictures are heinous, then what is the actual ACT?

Well, personally, I think that if a child is old enough to be asking a question about something, then they are old enough to be given an age appropriate answer.

I don’t have any children, but I can remember asking my mother about abortion after reading about it when I was 5 or 6. And my mother responded with something like “Some people don’t think that babies are really people until they come out of the mommy’s tummy. But we want to help everyone understand that babies are still people, even when they are growing inside the mommy.” (Something to that effect.)

I like to think that if I had a child, and he/she came to me with one of these cards and asked “what does it mean?”, I would be able to answer with something like “someone left that out to remind people that babies are people too” or something to that effect.

I do care that chldren may come across the literature I distribute. I do my best to get cards which are as gentle as possible. And I try to leave them in places that would be, at least somewhat, less accessible to children. (When I leave them in public restrooms, I aim for places like the top of the paper towel dispenser, which is usually too high up for children to see easily. When I leave them at the library, I aim for adult books, mainly about abortion and/or sex, etc.etc.)

But I do think that such cards can make many people think. And that’s really my goal, just to make people think.

I know this is off the subject of this thread, but I have had graphic abortion photos hanging on my refrigerator since my daughter (now 9) was an infant. I do this so everyone who walks into my home knows the truth and ugliness of abortion. My daugther grew up knowing that the bloody mess on the refrigerator was a baby in its mother’s belly that some doctor decided it was okay to kill. I shield my daughter from all kinds of crudeness, sexual content, etc., but I don’t shield her from the truth of abortion. That’s one thing in my house that she has been well aware of for quite some time. She is a well-adjusted level headed PRO-LIFE child! I also bring her to the March for Life in Washington every year.

The ones that I (and my young daughter) have been finding around, in public restrooms, laying on the ground (and stuck on my car) are more along these lines (be warned, these are very graphic photos):

So you would consider it okay to be forced into discussing the topic of abortion with your 5 year old because she picked up one of your cards? Yes, my 5 year old would have been perfectly capable of reading those cards you showed and would have asked what that meant.

I intensely dislike this form of littering under the guise of “helping” regardless of the cause, be it religious, ethical or advertising, but the particular ones I have been encountering have been heinous.
So how else is one to get the word out about abortion being the heinous crime it is. We are not supported by the public media and sometimes not even by the Church we attend. If your daughter had questions about a quote from someone like Mother Theresa, tell her the truth, some women are killing their babies.

Or you could just tell your 5 year old “I’ll explain it when you’re a little older”. That usually satisfies them.
