This is exactly my point… so why then try to say that society is “responsible for inflaming the passions of an ordained priest to commit unspeakable crimes against our youth”? I still disagree with the study but that aside society MAY be the catalyst but it is not responsible for the individual’s reaction… there’s quite a difference.
Well, I don’t know if I am in complete agreement with the report either–it sounds like damage control. However, we constantly fall and get up. So these arrows are thrown at us from the world–and the devil is the prince of this world–and sometimes we succumb to the passions. If the arrows did not fly, we would never sin. And if we never sinned, we could not work out our salvation with fear and trembling. So in a very real sense, the world is responsible for testing us—and we often fail the test.

We must continue to repent and live in the world------but not of the world. 😉

I think we have steered way off track here. Getting back to the OP…I am going to make one last comment because I will be away for quite some time and my horse in this race is all tuckered out.

I believe that the music of Led Zeppelin is not conducive to the attainment of a virtuous life and is counter to my path of salvation. The overall collection of their work is riddled with sexual themes and occultic references. The members themselves were submerged in the culture of sex and drugs. And even though, as a musician/songwriter/performer, I had dedicated much of my youth to learning, playing and performing their material—I have decided to remove myself from that segment of my past.

Many of you will, (and have), disagreed with me. But each of us must follow our own conscience.

Peace and prayers to all,
Mickey

Yeah, much modern music is horrible. Like Ke$ha,Justin Bieber and such, which they use autotune and such and don’t even write or perform their own music.

To the issue of Led Zeppelin, the Beatles supposedly put a pic of Aleister Crowley on one of their albums, and Jimmy Page was actually a occultist and not a demonist.
But he was asked by Kenneth Anger (self-professed satanist) to contribute music for his film “Lucifer Rising”. He accepted first but then had a fall-out with Anger. Would we all agree on semi-occultist semi-demonist?

I don’t disagree here… Led Zeppelin’s music and members were/are less than stellar examples of how one should live. I would just like to point out that I appreciate your distinction here as opposed to saying the same is true for all.
