I’m still not sure what I’m going to be doing for Lent this year. I’m thinking of giving-up fast food (I seem to be slightly addicted to those breakfast burritos), but I think part of me is afraid I won’t be able to follow-through on the committment.

I’d also like to add something to my “spiritual routine”, but am still struggling to discover what that might be. I know I still have a couple more weeks, but I just hate waiting 'til the last minute.

Hi, we can all do something to be of service to someone in need as well as giving things up. I need to quit smoking too but am so afraid I won`t be able to follow through 😦 , adding ro our spiritual routine is a must for most , especially me.

Wow. These are some really good ideas. I think I might fast, because I really like food. So I think I might take Lorrie’s suggestion on fasting 3-4 days.
👍

man, over the next two months I’m going to be on serious Jesus missions…I think I’ll be spending more time at the church preparing for retreats and groups than time at my home when I’m not sleeping…it’s going to be an incredible Lent, all in all, I can’t wait to see what Jesus does with it!

I have just been given hundreds of good Catholic books so I plan to do some spiritual reading each day instead of the diet of fiction I usually read.

I think I’m all out of ideas for you Flopfoot, Lent is a sacrifice, so pick something you enjoy, and don’t do it forty days I guess. Good luck.
Alright, I’ll see what I can think of. Thank you for trying to help!
