My baby is due that day. I didn’t even think about this! I hope her birthday won’t fall on Ash Wednesday a lot.
I live in the Philippines but it is up to the Bishops Conference in each country to make decisions on fasting.Ok, I just assume everyone is from the US here, sort of like a default position in my thinking - so assumed you were too.
And yes, you’re right - fasting is not really a burden considering we can have some food at each usual meal time.
ETA - if you don’t mind saying, and just from interest because I honestly thought it was the same everywhere (pardon my ignorance), but what country does the “two smaller meals together can equal one normal meal” apply?

Yes but sadly despite being a Catholic country (about 82% of population is Catholic) very few seem to be aware of the laws of fasting and abstinence.So I assume from this, this is the practice where you are in the Philippines?
