Leonard Cohen "Everybody Knows" song

I cannot understand why everyone loves that Hallelujah song. i just don’t get the appeal.

I have no answers for y’all except I think I’m preprogrammed to like things that my Dad likes. If as a kid, I knew my Dad liked something? I liked it then and I like it to this day.

Goes for ‘Hallelujah’, and goes for medium rare steak. I am almost 100% confident I wouldn’t want to eat any meat with pink in it if I didn’t see my Dad choose that when I was a kid, and want to imitate him. It sticks with you though, regardless of the origin of the preference.
