Good. Charity begins at home, so why don’t you counsel your home-boy Zerinus to stop his hateful diatribes against the Catholic Church. Then you can move on to why me, who delights in bringing up the personal sins of Catholics in every discussion and depicts all Catholics as drunken child molesters. Get the idea?
And when you’re done with Zerinus and Whyme maybe you could spend some time on MAAD and let them know how ugly they are toward Evangelical Christians. As far as I can see you’re charging on to the scene as another Whyme, just more of the same old Catholics bad LDS good.

I would plead with all members of these forums to respect the beliefs of others. I think we can all agree to disagree, but for one person to ridicule or post degrading remarks about others’ beliefs, it is degrading and hateful and damages the poster and others that join in ridiculing more than it damages the actual beliefs of those people. Basically… “can’t we all just get along”? It’s hate like this that we fight each day with bigotry, racism and war throughout the world. Please respect others’ beliefs.

Sincerely,

Jacob
Jacob,

I respect your right under the US Constitution to believe as you wish. However, I don’t respect what you believe.

If we want to go beyond the US Constitution to a Higher Authority… God made one Church, and I respect His right to do so. I also completely respect the Church God built. I love Him so much, that I desire to be part of that Church.

Don’t expect me to lie, and tell you that being non-Catholic is okay or is an acceptable alternative. It is not. Knowing the better path, we would be doing a grave disservice to others by telling them to stay away, and keep the beautiful reality just for ourselves. We are compelled to tell the truth about Christ, and His Church. This includes telling the truth about churches not built by God, but built by created men and women.

Would you give a link to one of your posts where you have done just that?
I have read all your post I do not belive that you are here for peace. CAF is a great site for alot of people. Maybe you should try looking at other area’s on CAF and try to learn instead of starting your own war’s.

Because I felt that this is what is happening a lot in the Non-Catholic Religions forums. Let’s get together and do something good… let’s do something great and make the world a better place instead of putting each other down.

Best wishes,

Jacob
You have a wonderful heart may God bless you.

Can I make a recommendation; Why dont we all follow the one church, that has one faith, one baptism and one Lord, and bring all the wonderful charitable ministeries under one body of believers, and stop abortion, feed the hungry, clothe the naked, and visit the prisoners, and heal the sick. The Catholic church has been doing this since the first century, will you join us in these ministeries?

Peace

Okay, you go first. Stop telling the world that our creed is hateful, filthy and disgusting; stop telling the world that we are depraved, morally degenerate and perverted.

Then we can get together and buy the world a Coke. Oh, wait…

Jacob, dear friend, as you can see you are wasting your time here. You may want to just move on. I do have another board forum you may be more comfortable on. If there is a way to private message here, do so and I will let you know.

I just joined the Catholic forums as a Non-Catholic mainly just to help to correct some misperceptions of my beliefs that I have seen on the forums. I’m also open to sharing experiences with fellow Christians because I find an open dialog with people of all faiths is helpful to myself and to other people. I’m not here to convert others or to bash others. So I was very surprised to see the many hateful and abusive remarks about other non-Catholic religions on these forums. I have many friends that are Catholic and highly respect the Catholic church and actually members of many religions that truly practice their religion and the teaching of our Savior to love our neighbors and serve others throughout our lives. I’ve seen this in many multi-faith organizations where great things have been done.

WHy don’t you show some examples of these remarks. I just don’t see them all that often. If they are really bad then you need to report all offenders to the Mod’s.

Peace!

Jacob,

You are definitely wasting your time by asking people to be politically correct, instead of telling you the truth. You’d further waste your time with a non-Denominational type who cannot interpret the Scriptures infallibly. They have the most arrogant belief that one can have, and which can’t even be backed up by the Sacred Scriptures. If you want to be coddled, and told lies, then please proceed with the non-Denominational types. If you want truth… stay with the Catholics. If the non-Denominational types had truth, they wouldn’t violate the Scriptures, and pick and choose. Although, they can read the Bible much faster by skipping over the parts that don’t agree with their beliefs. Catholics are called to believe in every word that comes from the mouth of God. There is not one non-Denominational church that teaches the full truth, and not one that is not founded on error.

Like, if you just wanted to get information on some Catholic practices or certain things you notice in Catholics, why not use “Ask an Apologist”?
If you search for debates, and heated ones at that, well this is one place for it! No need to insult anyone to prove our points… though alas some seem not mind!
I tend to listen more to those who have good information to provide, and also to people who have things not so nice to say, or simply react angrily to things said that can trigger anger… i suppose Ilike to study characters as well as their reasons to say certain things… I am not always reasonable myself, but somehow it seems to be O.K., … up to now!

Dude, I’m sure you mean well; but, speaking as a Catholic who has been around Mormons for most of his life, you’re barking up the wrong tree. The WAY wrong tree, I could write volumes here. Suffice it to say that if you wish to treat this subject, your time would be much better spent discussing your own 11th article of faith on the LDS boards.
