Especially you in the USA have a lot of trouble with inner-parties disagreements with it’s many social divisions, in addition there is the unfortunate Corona-period worldwide, and on top of that, most have concrete money problems. Often enough all this together leads even to some intra-familial angry words. Lets be brave enough to apologize if it happened.

It’s just in such times and in periods of sickness and affliction, that hell tempts us to slide into some state of despair that makes us sick.

The one and only help then, is to flee into God’s earthly hemisphere. Everyone can, as Jesus said: „ I am with you - any time til the end of time “ and Christ meant here our time here on earth - our first and ending life. That is if we want to be within God’s earthly hemisphere before we are in God’s heavenly hemisphere and reality. To be with God, within Jesus Christ, who never excluded the earth, which is part of His kingdom.

That we achieve a lot by prayer Jesus often enough told us. So let’s do so. It’s help and relief and medicine; our lifebuoy in any situation.

We got across Acts 10 before. Referring to that stirring racism-matter

we hear there St. Peter say: "God hath shewed me that I should not call any man common or unclean.“

And in same chapter Cornelius repeats again, what was said so often in the Gospel:

Thy prayer is heard!

Now, there is no need at all to live a monks life. Jesus never denied our full life on earth with all it’s sorrows and pleasures. The full life with all it’s aspects. But let’s include Jesus as He wants to include you and me in His being.

Amidst our ever so very much lively life, let’s though concentrate on our next life; our life in heaven - in Gods presence - in God’s realm that we will inevitably see!

In Christ’s transfiguration The Holy Trinity of God showed in glaring and obvious patency Jesus Christ’s divinity and a lot more. Among others, that no-one ever is dead, vividly presented by the centuries ago died two Saints. Peter Jakobus und John saw it all as representative of you and me. God’s demonstration to believers underlines Jesus Let’s be aware of Jesus word in Mt 28,18: All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me.

Yes - presently ON EARTH with those who believe in Him.

Jesus often frankly asked individuals DU YOU BELIEVE THIS? LIKE IN John 11:26 ….the one who lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?

Let’s answer by a firm YES I DO for then and only then, we will soon meet in the eternal Face of God, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

I’d be glad if you respond 😉

Is the way to believe in God through Jesus a necessity?

It doesn’t seem like a necessity. Elijah was taken to heaven before Christ was incarnate. Possibly others too - Enoch and Moses.

The Church also teaches that belief in Jesus is not necessary for salvation where there is invincible ignorance.

Jews who died before the time of Christ we’re taken to heaven. They didn’t know of the incarnate Jesus during their lifetimes. They only knew of God.

Dear friends, US is a paradise comparably with many other parts of the world.
If you would visit some third world countries where big families share slices of bread, where there are chronic wars, or constant problems of water, many would reveal themselves, surprisingly rich, but unthankful and, always complaining, and dissatisfied sinners before God.
When people see those who live much much worst, then they can repent, and stop complaining.

Oh - certainly so.
Simply match John 14:6 -No one comes to the Father except through Me.

we definitely will. No question about that!
I - being 80 and very soon at the end of my earthly life, will be first there. Sorry, but I really am very much looking forward to seeing Jesus Christ face to face which we all will one day.

Of course a lot were „at Abrahams bosom“ see Luke 16:23. All the good people were in Paradise. But no, they were not in Heaven. Another „Heaven“. St. Paul spoke of several „Heavens“. Second and Third and Paul differed between Heaven and Paradise in for instance in 2Cor 12:2-4 They did not see God in beatific view before the sinful world was redeemed by Jesus’ passion, death and resurrection. Not before then heaven was open.
Hence we will strive to pass the narrow door to see God - after being allowed to get through to the Father and the Most Holy Trinity by Jesus Christ through and with Jesus Christ.

YOU just reminded me of something… Didn’t Jesus open the gates of Heaven with his passion, death and resurrection from the dead??? That’s what the sisters taught me in grade school… I get a very spectacular image… Abraham coming in, Joseph coming in and lots more…

Yes of course so, when Jesus Christ, accompanied by Dismas „the Good Thief“ who did believe in Christ, released all the „Dead“ from the heaven called Paradise or the one called Purgatorium. Abraham and Mose and Eliah and all the Saints and good people who had believed in God, had been in some „Heaven“ far off God, but sure to see God in beativic view „soon“. The day had come with Jesus’ death.
You hit the nail on it’s head. The sisters n Grade-School taught you kids right. sadly enough nowadays kids get very little Christian Education. They are taught what Steve Hawking announced: There is no God. Evolution did not need any god. All „evoluted“ by itself. The biggest mistake ever! All the bigger will be the surprise by the vast majority after their death, when hey suddenly see Jesus Christ to give account
over their life - over their belie in Jesus - or their disbelief. The greatest joy, or the deepest shock!

Thanks ol’ chum. I actually found it - even thouht I’m a technical idiot 😏
But here on this painting, done at the beginning of the “modern period” (which is supposed to have begun when good old Columbus detected the USA 10th of October 1492 😆) is shows how pious people saw LIMBO od PUGATORIUM or even a heaven where all had to stay without seeing God the Father, until Jesus redeemes us.
Jesus had promised Dismas that he will be this very day (Good Friday) in Paradise together with Jesus Christ. Here we see Dismas (carrying his attribute the cross) with Jesus who redeems all the good people who were there (on Abrahams bosom) until Jesus arrived.
OK. It’s hardly so, that these people were in Purgatorium for thouands of years. As God is justice Himself; we wouldn’s deserve to get right into heaven, whilst these people suffered for so long.
So, in pious contemplation we see the realities of how it really has been.
Yours
Bruno

Time is a quality of this earth… God is outside of time… I bet Heaven and Hell and Purgatory are too… not a biblical scholar or bone-fide scientist…

this statement is often heard, and simply seems like just another way to seneak out of the theme. Because it’s a to many listeners a kind of awkward theme and simply too big, many seem relieved when finding an answer that even the opener can’t deny.

OK - yes not even „biblical scholar or bone-fide scientist“ can prove God; but that’s wanted that way by God, for else our precondition BELIEF to „earn the right“ to see God in eternity, would be redundant; - for what you can prove you don’t habe to believe, as you see’t anyway. Yeah, God’s „outside or time“. Ans yes to, to God is very and ever so present in our time, as He was in Jesus 2000 years ago, when He promised „I AM WITH YOU - ALWAYS“.

So:
Do not be afraid! This word of God is written and announced in the Bible as often as we got days in the year! 365 times the phrase DO NOT BE AFRAID is written in the Bible.
Hence and n the name of the Eucharist, let’s beware of statements like „… no biblical scholar or bone-fide scientist can ever prove God“. Or even worse: „No-One ever came back - so we don’t know“
Last of which is total ignorance, for Many „came back“. Not only that Peter, John and Jacobus the ages ago deceased Moses and Eliah saw, also in our time many saw long ago deceased people who came to help like the in Father Pallotti did,

who died in 1850 but was seen many years later, when he healed a little boy who when he was mature, was present when Pallotti was canonized in 1963.
Oh, many other Saints had been seen back on earth.
But let’s concentrate on God - God is here not only in the Eucharist, but with you and me - if we ask Jesus to be with us.
