The thing that stands out to me is that both Jesus and the Holy Spirit are praying for us. WOW 👍 And, that nothing outside of ourselves can pull us away from Christ.

Romans 8:26-39 (New International Version)

26In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. 27And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God’s will.
28And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him,a* who b* have been called according to his purpose. 29For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. 30And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.
31What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? 33Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. 34Who is he that condemns? ** Christ Jesus, who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. 35Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36As it is written:
“For your sake we face death all day long;
we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.” c
37No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38For
* I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,d* neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.**

Thank God that he loves us so much that he doesn’t demand his own way! He will not let Satan snatch us from his hand but he will let us leave Him if that is what we choose! He is not the Monster God of Calvinism who FORCES his followers to stay in love with him.

I don’t do that with people I love–I’m sure God wouldn’t do it with people that He loves!

The scriptures say “God is love”. The scriptures also say “Love does not demand its own way”.

Any PREDESTINATION of God without total human freedom is impossible because it would violate exactly who God is!

Right. God predestines people to heaven and man has free will to choose to go to heaven or to not. Nothing outside ourselves can separate us from Christ Jesus, i.e., no spiritual or physical power because God is more powerful than anyone or anything else. However, notice the passage only deals with things between us and God but not of ourselves, for we can choose through our freewill to act in a gravely sinful manner this would separate us from God.
Paul mentions the possibility of being separated from God in 1 Cor 9:24-27.

Also, I remembered that Romans 8:28 is a verse that speaks of us cooperating with God’s grace. We read…“in everything God works for good with sunergei eis agathon] those who love him, who are called according to his purpose.” (KJV)
This is a great verse showing evidence for synergism as opposed to monergism.

Here’s a link to a definition of synergism. mb-soft.com/believe/txc/synergis.htm. And here’s a link to a definition of monergism. “Monergism: The view that the Holy Spirit is the only agent who effects regeneration of Christians. It is in contrast with synergism, the view that there is a cooperation between the divine and the human in the regeneration process. This grace works independently of any human cooperation and conveys that power into the fallen soul whereby the person who is to be saved is effectually enabled to respond to the gospel call.”
