Let's do a fun thread

Hi Everyone,

I though perhaps it would be nice if we could have a fun thread. So my idea is those who wish list 1 thing they want to do this week that would be a nice thing to do as a Catholic.

OK, I will start…hmmmm… let me think… OK, I got it, the next time I leave my appartment, the first person I bump into I will then privately say a pray to God and ask God to give that person a good day

OK someone else please take a turn

A. Corporal works of mercy

1.To give food to the hungry

1. To give drink to the thirsty
2. To give clothing to the naked
3. To give lodging to pilgrims

5. To visit those in prison
6. To bury the dead.

B. Spiritual works of mercy

1. To give counsel to those in doubt
2. To teach the ignorant
3. To admonish sinners
4. To console the afflicted
5. To forgive offenses
6. To bear patiently with persons who are difficult
7. To pray to God for the living and the dead.

I will vote pro-life.

I already did a few things that would qualify. I did a huge favor for an absolutely insufferable acquaintance who tends to never return them. I bore patiently with those who are difficult multiple times (and, boy ,were they difficult!). I also charitably taught some extremely ignorant friends, and friends of friends, all without getting anyone angry at me, which I think was a minor miracle on its own.

I will try and teach someone something.

I was able to work with a student today and we talked a lot about how to handle different situations.

Then, just as he was changing clothes, one of the situations we had discussed actually came up and we handled it together.

Although he was thrilled, I think I got more out of it than he did.
