@St.Bede, @aroosi, @Frankie65, @Psalms62, and at @Chistian-ity, I thank you for your continued prayers, as I’m not yet “out of the woods.” At the current rate, I’m worried that I won’t be fit for a cochlear implant that is scheduled for a week from today.
On another note, a judge has granted a temporary delay for the execution of James Daily, until the end of December, only due to a change of lawyers because one had a conflict of interest. I don’t know how to link, but James Daily was convicted mainly on hearsay from three cellmates who were given “incentives” for their testimony, and the other defendant, who received only a life sentence, has sworn in recent years that only he, not James Daily, killed a girl, but he later recanted. That defendant had a criminal record of violence toward women, while James Daily did not, and has maintained his innocence for mire than 30 years. The bishops of Florida, demonstrating their support of Pope Francis, have appealed to the governor, but he’s been adamant to proceed with the execution. We must now pray that the new legal team will be successful. My sincere thanks go to all of you.
