Dear St.Bede, and all of you CAFers who have prayed for my recovery. I’m truly overwhelmed by your generosity in praying for my health when some of you are facing circumstances far more dire than mine. Please know that when you see my “like” heart, I’ve added your name to my personal prayer journal and I’ll be praying for your intentions each day that I’m able to pray until I croak.

To update: I was recently hospitalized for four days because a trio of infections had easily prevailed due to auto-immunity problems and poor resistance, but medical technology’s wonderful antibiotic IVs won that battle. A few days later, I entered the ER because of zig-zag electrical shock-like chest pains, comparable to a heart attack a few years ago, but my heart tested fine. Additional antibiotics did away with that pain, and we don’t know the cause; “it may have been infection in the chest wall,” but it also may have been anxiety. Two days later, I received my second cochlear implant, so maybe a year from now I’ll be able to hear for myself without needing someone to hear for me! This current recovery is far from being a snap, but my recuperation seems to be within normal parameters and should be complete in another 2-3 weeks. God is so good to me! A year and a half after the first cochlear implant, I can hear insects and bird sounds that I’ve never ever heard previously! I’m an old lady now and am entering a new world! God is so good to me! Blessed be God! Blessed be His Holy Name!
