Let's pray for our ennemies!

Hi everyone!

I’m from Lebanon and I live in Beirut. I’m trying to start a group of prayer specifically for our ennemies and persecutors, as I way to train my mind out of hatred, fear and resentment.

I have prayed for my own enemies. And now I have prayed for yours, and for peace in the middle East. And peace in Beiruit, because I can remember from my own lifetime (I’m 61) that it was a horrible horrible war zone once. I’m sure your elders have all kinds of gruesome stories. I prayed to Jesus, born, raised and died in the middle east, that he would help your city and the region. God bless you!

Jesus is the greatest example of what it means to pray and forgive our enemies. Even while dying on the cross He prayed for his enemies. It is not easy to pray for people who persecute us but this is the Cross we must all bear if we want to follow Jesus. We must continue to pray for our enemies and forgive them because that is what “The Our Father” tells us every day. Jesus greatest commandment was “Love one another as I have loved you”. My prayer is that there will always be peace and love in our hearts, homes, schools, work places, country and the world. God Bless.

O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fountain of Mercy for us, I trust in You!
