Let's see photos of your Rosary!

Wasn’t sure if this has been done before or not, but I would like to see a thread dedicated to pictures of your Rosary or a special Rosary from a family member. Any Rosary that you have that is meaningful to you, please post pictures! I am going to take a digital photo of one of mine soon so it’s coming. Let’s see some of them! God bless! 👍

What is the step by step procedure to get a photo into a thread? I’m clueless on this and in the past I had to set up a website, upload photos into the website and then give the link to the website. That is very cumbersome. I’m sure there must be an easier way to put a photo in a thread post.
Basically what I would like to do is simply choose a photo on my computer, click copy and then go to the thread and click paste but that does not work.
 
Here’s mine. Made it myself using plastic beads and some rope.

to post pics, scroll to the bottom of the window when you are writing your post and click “manage attachments”, then upload the pic from your comp.
 
I don’t have a pic yet but I have an unusual rosary. The cross has 7 holes filled with images of the Seven Sorrows when you look into them. One of the holes is empty/ sorrow missing 😦 but it’s pretty cool. Anyone ever see on like this or know what it’s called? It belonged to my Grandma but I don’t know when she got it.
 
Oh I have to take part in this thread - I don’t have a picture yet, but I’ll get one. My rosary has a Jubilee cross with a Padre Pio centrepiece and oval black ceramic beads. Most important, it was a gift from my Godfather.

If it has SEVEN decades with SEVEN beads each then it’s not actually a Rosary, its a Seven Sorrows Chaplet (probably the most well-known chaplet after the Chaplet of Divine Mercy)

Technically, it is seven septads. 🤓

If it had seven decades (10 beads each), it could be a Franciscan Crown, which meditates upon seven JOYS of the BVM (so I would not expect it to have sorrows on the crucifix?).

The seven sorrows chaplets I have seen always had medals depicting the sorrows in place of the Pater Nosters, nor did thay have crucifixes – Rather, another medal?

Very cool, and good craftsmanship too. I’ve found that The Rosary Shop online (rosaryshop.com) is a really great place to have custom ones made if you’re not as able to do something like this. I may try to take on making one myself now though. Will try to get a digital pic of mine sometime tonight if possible. I have a new custom one coming though that I am very excited about.

Fun! Here are mine.

This first one made of pearls was my great grandmother’s. She had it blessed by the pope. As you can see, I broke off one of the pearl beads. Do you think I could have that fixed?

The silver one is my sister’s (the beads look like roses. I’m not sure you can tell on this picture). I bought it in Seville during Holy Week. She never prays the Rosary. :crying:

The black and white plastic one is my favorite. I like how simple it is–very easy to pray with. 🙂 I have another plain black one that I got for Confirmation, but I don’t use it much. It rests on my bedpost.

Whew! It took me almost an hour to take these pictures and figure out how to put them in!

Oh my gosh, I love yours! Wanna make me one like that? Haha. 😛

I wish I could knot rope and do cool things like that.
 
I haven’t learned how to use my camera yet ! But I can download a description! I have MANY Rosaries…constantly sent by various organizations in the mail. I leave them in Churches, in places where I know they will be wanted.

I currently keep several handy, several near the bedside (blue crystal and others); two with me (one blue crystal and one white pearl).

But my favorite I keep at home. The beads and Crucifix are olive wood from the Holy Land. My mother and I brought many olive wood Rosaries back from there years ago, and I think my Mom used this particular one, which is why I don’t carry it with me - for fear of losing it. When praying the Rosary of the Holy Wounds at home, I use that one. Otherwise, it’s kept in front of my deceased Mother’s picture. May she rest in peace.

It’s a five decade (10 regular beads) rosary with an interesting crucifix. I’m interested in the technology used in the windows which are about this big - o -.

Man, I’d really hoped this thread would take off. I love everything about Rosaries and I want to start making them. It’s such a beautiful sacramental in so many ways.
 
I have also have a very unsual Rosary… (which I made myself). It is a continuous string of all 20 Mysteries of the Holy Rosary: Joyous (blue beads), Luminous (yellow beads), Sorrowful (red beads) and Glorious (white beads). It’s quite long, so best to use either kneeling, or sitting… because you could trip over it, walking! I make these only on special request… because they are quite intricate and take much longer to make.

I still haven’t figured out yet… how to download photos… grrrrr. So… all I can do, is describe it for you. God bless.

This is not my actual rosary, but a photo of an identical one from the website where I bought it.

It is made in Bethlehem from olive wood, and is a joy to touch 👍

I love these type of wood Rosaries, I was considering adding something like this to my collection. What website did you get this from? Beautiful.
 
I just yesterday ordered a rosary from etsy.com. This is my first rosary (my husband and I are just starting the conversion process) and I can’t wait to get it.

I also ordered one for my husband (his is the black one) as a surprise.

Beautiful rosaries :-). Might I suggest this possibly for a future gift for him (one can never have too many sacramentals). I’m thinking my girlfriend is getting me one of these.

St. Benedict was an incredible saint, and his medal and the prayer inscribed on it are especially powerful against temptation.

I am going to start wearing a St. Benedict crucifix along with a miraculous medal as soon as I’m able to get them both blessed by Father.

I want to get him this one from holylandmall.net at some point (actually, I think I want that one for myself too!). I’m giving him the other one when it gets here as a “just because” present, because it will be his first rosary as well, and he really wants one, but he won’t buy one for himself…
