Just that.

Let’s share the wisdom of the great authors and doctors and theological minds of the various faiths represented here. It might give us all some pause for thought. I’m sure, if we can’t learn from each other, we might be able to take something away from the minds that formed and forged and clarified what we believe in. Direct Quotes form the Bible are off limits in this thread.

I’ll start;

With all due respect to “the wisdom of the great authors and doctors and theological minds”, how are they closer to God than the rest of us?

I would say that a horse is infinitely closer to it’s Creator than a “great author or doctor” who does not worship his Lord in the way that the Creator wants His creations to worship Him.

And so, when we apply ‘horse sense’ in our own search for God, then finding the Almighty is really not difficult provided one does not ignore the many Signs that the Lord has given His creations.

The wise words of men do not necessarily make them any greater than anyone of us. But the wise words of holy men and women do have an impact on us, ordinary folks who sometimes are too engrossed or blinded with materialism and other worldly issues that make us forget God.

If it is a horse that inspires your spiritual faith, then good for you. We rather listen to the wise words of holy men and women, who love, respect and understand God’s will better than any animal.

We prefer to apply ‘esoteric knowledge’ than ‘horse sense’ because we recognize that only through His scripture can we see what the good Lord created for us.

Just so people understand, Ecumenism is not a false peacemaking and watering down of the Catholic faith. Ecumenism is bringing back separated groups into the Church.

Interfaith dialogue deals with non-Christian religions.
