At my parish, we have:

  1. *]Confession Monday thru Saturday, with the Sacrament available at two different times on Saturday.
*]Eucharistic Adoration Monday thru Friday for eight hours each day.
*]The Tabernacle is on a large, beautiful stone side altar with the Last Supper carved into the base. This altar is lit by a floodlight, and six candles, two of which are always lit, are on the altar. The candles are large and held by ornate gold holders. The Tabernacle itself is covered with a cloth in the liturgical color of the day and topped with a gold crown.
*]There is a Mass to Pray For Vocations every Thursday night.
*]There is a Mass in Honor of the Blessed Virgin every Monday night.

  1. Eucharistic Adoration 24 hours a day
  2. An associate pastor who is at the school several hours a day
  3. A warm and welcoming congregation

JNB:
How can use of an altar rail cause confusion? A negative? It is sad how dissent has become entrenched, and actions that started as dissent are now defended tooth and nail.
:yup: It’s terrifying…

Nonsense. The “norm” in the Latin Rite of theCatholic Church in the USA is to receive on the tongue OR in one’s hands.

It’s makes no difference what you believe is the “norm” in a given parish. Follow the Church, not men – even “traditionalist” men.
Nonsense the “norm” is on the tongue, but permission has been granted on the hand.

Communion in Tongue is the “norm” in the that parish, and no one is complaining about it except for modernist.

The universal norm is on the tongue, you cannot argue that with me, otherwise an indult would not be neccessary on the Hand.

And yes, Bl. Mother Teresa despised Communion in hand.

Good idea, instead of trying to put down parishes that uses Cassocks and surplice and use traditional options(I do not mean you but someone else here).

1.) In the USA, hand or tongue. Both are allowed, no matter what you think. Neither is “better” than the other.

2.) Makes no matter what an individual parish does. Follow the Church, not man.

3.) See #1.

4.) So?

This thread is going to be locked for repeated conduct violations. Great topic, but please start a new thread.
