I agree, that evangelization requires that we respect the faith of others. But AdamHovey has already said this is not a thread to call individuals out on their personal faith. It is a thread to discuss teachings of Mormonism.

I would love to discuss and offer some real apologetics for any misinformation or confusion my part I Mormonism may have caused

Yes, I know. And it is a good aspiration, but Mormonism teaches so outside of Christian doctrine, in opposition to it in many instances, and so is not a Christian religion in the eyes of the Catholic Church.

Individual Mormons, yes, I believe some honestly and truly seek discipleship. God will be their judge, but the Catholic Church teaches, that all who seek to follow God according to their understanding, can know heaven. That doesn’t mean we should forsake Truth or cease to bring people to the fullness of Truth.

Day and night both are given to bless. It is evil that would point out one is good one is bad or one is of God the other is not.

I see your point, and there are many fine lines that we walk as Catholics. For example, we know if we sin that we can go to Confession and be forgiven, but this doesn’t make it ok to sin.

We are indeed called to charity towards people of all faiths. We are also to perform acts of mercy, one of which, is to teach the ignorant.

No doubt, I have thought more than once that there is a reason that God allows Mormonism to exist. I have my own thoughts and ideas on that, but I don’t speak for God so I keep them to myself.

I think it is commendable to see what God does for us, and again, remind that we are to discern.

We want to be sheep! But alas, I often think I am a goat.

Narrow is the gate.

Give me an ugliness you see in Mormonism and let me see if I can make it look more beautiful. Believe me there is much to choose from😋

Polygamy. I find it absolutely disgusting, degrading to women, and one man’s evil tendencies foisted onto others as divinely commanded.

I am sure the way you view it is aweful. The way you view it is not ordained of God. Ok can I ask you some questions and I want your honest answer what ever that is it is your truth and I love truth.

I reject subjective truth, ie, “your truth”. I don’t seek to know or understand my truth. I seek to know and understand Jesus Christ. He taught that marrying more than one woman, while still married to another, is adultery. So, strike one for Smith.

I already saw your (kind of strange) post on the Bride of Christ. There is one church, who is the Bride, not many churches. I think you must have a Mormon idea of “church” going.

I am not talking about churches I am Talking about my understanding of God.

I guess you could say churches if you’re talking about the local church? But you’re right, the Church, as in the universal Church is the bride of Christ

Is it evil for God to refer to us as that if we have a husband already? Or are we being unfaithful to God by having a husband. As some in the early Catholic Church taught.

Here is tha Catholic understanding of the Bride of Christ, it is Christs’s Church. One faith, one God, one baptism. All validly baptized Christian belong to the Body of Christ. It is this Body that comprises His Church. This we call the “invisible church”. “Bride of Christ” is a metaphor, symbolic for something that is mystical, and not literal.

I would like it if you would give me the curtesy of answering my question either with a question or a strait answer.
