“Beloved, let us love one another,
because love is of God;
everyone who loves is begotten by God and knows God.
Whoever is without love does not know God, for God is love.”
I have seen that everyone who loves does not know God.
But God knows them, and gives them this power to love.
The psalm says that every nation on earth will adore Him.
This must come to be, but how, before the end of the world?
God’s chosen people are being attacked, and are attacking
a hundred-fold. Where is the adoration of the Lord in these
nations? And yet the psalm insists on it.
The gospel is my favorite reading, because it has meaning in
my life. It was a major discovery for me, that God was not
asking me to do that which I couldn’t do, but only what I could
do. It is His job to make miracles, mine is just to see what
loaves and fishes I have and give them, not saying in my heart, “why bother, it will do no good for such a large problem”.
Some people do not believe in the miracle of the loaves and the
fishes, they call it the miracle of sharing. I do believe in it, since
Jesus Himself talks about doing it 2 times. I am however, very
curious about the logistics of it all. exactly at what point in time
did this miracle occur? God also made a similar miracle for
the widow in Elijah’s life, and then of course, there’s Hannukah.
Surely when one fish was divided among 6 apostles, each one
got such a small amount that it seems like they would notice
“when” there was more. It seems like each apostle would be
lucky to get 2 pieces to give to a group of 50! How could they
not notice “exactly when” there was more?
