Today’s opening prayer contains this helpful advice: Let us not be discouraged by our weaknesses as we prepare for His coming. Good advice!
In Isaiah, it says that those who hope in the Lord will run and not grow weary, walk and never tire. Then in the gospel, Jesus says that His yoke is easy and His burden light.
Have you ever thought, “this burden is from the Lord and I will do my best to do a good job carrying it, for Him”. But are all burdens from the Lord really light ones? The book of Hebrews says we should never tire of doing good deeds, because with such sacrifices God is pleased. But what if we do get tired?
What if we run and Do grow weary? Jesus promises He will give us rest when we come to Him.
Today is also the day of John Roberts, priest and martyr, on the national calendar. and also Our Lady of Loreto.
