I had the experience years ago of buying about $70 worth of merchandise. well, I paid for everything fair and square, but, I set off the theft monitor at the door, for some reason.
Well, I knew that I didn’t steal anything, but a young man came running after me and said that I “Had” to return to the store.
Well, you know, the cashier either deliberately did not remove the anti-theft device or cancel it out, so I got flagged at the door.
My response then and since has been, if I have to return to the store, it is for one reason only, and that is, to get refund for my purchase. Yup, I want every nickel back.
I am not being paid to help them test their system, I am a customer. I’m getting old, and I don’t have time for their games. If that’s how they want to treat me, that’s their loss.
by the way, I don’t think that they have the cheapest prices in town. I see that fallacy disproved all the time.
