Hi, I am an avid reader, much like many of you. But, I honestly have not seen Atheistism as that big of deal. So, I like to hear about what books you all have read and what you think of them.

What do specific Atheists teach that is unique to them?

What books respond to those specific Atheistists?

What books respond to Atheistism in general?

What do you think were the best books and why?

Personally, I am limited to what books I can get via interlibrary loan or as a gift. It is nice to know about books that are not in the mainstream, so please indicate if a book is not library worthy – using Seminaries as the standard in this case.

Well I suggest you start with a primer on GOD and HIS Church. You need to grasp the concept of “GOD” before you can evaluate the full impact of atheism not being a big deal.
I would suggest Fr. Anthony Alexander book COLLEGE Apologetics. Don’t let the title concern you, it is for both High School and College level students.
It contains the 5 proofs of GOD and from there explains HIS faith and church and why other churches are not the correct response to HIS teaching - including atheism.

Good luck in your search for the truth.

The most popular atheistic book is a 400+ page tome by Richard Dawkins - The God Delusion. Most atheists today draw their argumentation and information from this book. Some atheists, though, agree with theists that the book is more rhetoric than substance.

I have not read the book, yet. I ordered it last night and should be getting it next week.
