Back in the day, we were perplexed by the 9ers consistently winning without covering. I wanted to parley winning straight up with losing against the line . . . Montana got the glory for all those comebacks, but it was only possible because he was usually behind going into the fourth quarter. He may have been the greatest ever in the fourth, but accept for that bit about casually threading double coverage at will,
