Please help by writing a letter to Catholic Charities USA regarding the disgraceful conduct of Catholic Charities Boston.
As has already been pointed out, CC Boston has adopted out thirteen children to same-sex couples, in violation of Church teaching. Now, they plan to honor Mayor Tom Menin at their annual dinner in December. Archbishop O’Malley is listed as a “special guest”. Mayor Tom Menin, a Catholic, is a pro-abortion and pro-same-sex marriage politician. He has publicly endorsed both of these items, again in clear violation of Catholic teaching. CC Boston is honoring him despite the June 2004 document from the USCCB “Catholics in Political Life” warning Catholic institutions not to give a platform to such politicians.
So, I am asking my friends at Catholic Answers to write to Catholic Charities USA and remind them of their resonsibility as the national organization to correct their affiliates and stop this disgraceful behavior. Here are the relevant addresses & names:
