Letting daughter watch "gay friendly" shows?

I watched My Little Pony because I had one child who loved this series on Netflix and wanted to see the content, what it promoted. Sad that they ruined a good show series.

Now if I could just get rid of Netflix.

In recent times - last 50 years - I watched some of the tactics used by secularists to undermine neighborhoods, family life and community life. I watched the media purposely change in the 1970s and underground media, referred to as Adult Bookstores, popped up everywhere. Society does not change, only people do everything they can to make changes. To pollute hearts and minds. To get religious people in particular to just go along.

Here is one fact: The Body of Christ in the West has been slowly, gradually poisoned. People did not realize it until they began to drown spiritually. Until those influences led them to do things they thought they couldn’t come back to God from. To all reading: God’s infinite mercy is waiting for you. No matter how long it’s been - 10, 20, 30 or more years - He’s waiting.

Pope St Pius X wrote encyclical on the modernists 100 years ago. Reading it now it’s clear he was a prophet and forecasted all of this.
 
This is so true, EdWest. No Christian can dispute that the devil wants to degrade humanity and destroy Christianity. And the devil is infinitely patient. 50 years, as you say, is nothing to him.
And yes, God is waiting and the only time its too late, is when we’re dead. The only true happiness is found in God. Marriage between one man and one woman is a blessed state, and can produce true happiness because it is of God, created by Him and underscored by the teachings and actions of His Son. There is no true, lasting happiness in any other sexual / romantic relationship.

I have never read Gorky books so have no idea what his movies are about. Wikipedia says he is a Marxist. Are there many movies made in Russia?

The video showed a lot of pretty woman which is something you will not really see in the USA. Maybe early on there were more shows with many girls but that went the way to one main actress such as Elizabeth Taylor always focusing on her pretty eyes, low cut outfits and body shape. She did a lot of Tennessee Williams’ plays.

Movies did change.

Who exactly are these “homosexual agenda pushers”? Can you name anyone in particular?

I attend a Lutheran Church (ELCA) that has a gay pastor. But the vote in that denomination at their 2009 Churchwide Assembly to allow gay men to be pastors and to allow its pastors to perform same-sex marriages did not take place because of some homosexual conspiracy to destroy Christianity. I personally know some of the people who were lay delegates to that assembly and voted for that change. I also know some people from a Methodist congregation who support changes in the way that denomination treats LGBT people. They’re all good people working sincerely for something they believe is the right and Christian thing to do. It’s not a conspiracy or part of a “homosexual agenda.”

You’re the one who said that “homosexual agenda pushers” had scored wins in the Lutheran Church, but as I said, the people who voted for change aren’t part of a “homosexual agenda.” They’re just normal people, many of them straight, who go to church every Sunday, have children and grandchildren, have or had normal jobs and normal lives. You seem to be looking for some kind of secret conspiracy to subvert Christianity which doesn’t exist.

Some deciphering could be necessary, but it’s hard to tell with buzzwords. Homosexual agenda pushers could easily be people who try to push the idea about homosexuality that is at odds with the Church and the people you mentioned do sort of fall under that category.
 
Anyone who promotes or accepts same sex “marriage” and actively homosexual “clergy” is a tool of the agenda regardless of how active a role they play in planning or coordinating the advancement of the agenda, period.

That is exactly who they are. These formerly stalwart Christian churches didn’t fall to the homosexual agenda without widespread acceptance by their rank and file members.

Over 50 percent of the delegates, both lay and clergy, to the Churchwide Assembly voted for change. Most of these people aren’t activists of any sort. They don’t spend a lot of time thinking about homosexuality or about gay people. It’s more a case of people who have a gay nephew or a gay neighbor and felt moved at that particular assembly to vote to be more inclusive and welcoming to LGBT people. The most important thing in moving people to accept change isn’t a “homosexual agenda,” it’s been the hundreds of thousands of gay people who have come out to their families and friends and co-workers. It’s that personal connection with real people they know and love that has done the most to change people’s minds.

Voting for something is pushing for it at least in a loose sense. You don’t need to be an activist.
 
Not sure if you responding to me, VV? But if so, I’m simply pointing out what “more inclusive and welcoming” means, in practice.
Just yesterday, a certain celebrity Jesuit stated on his Facebook page that he’s no longer content with “inclusive and welcoming.” Now he wants “LGBTQ” people to fill roles at all levels of church leadership. Somehow he forget to specify “chaste, celibate” LGBTQ people. Surely he’ll be clarifying that…
