The Seattle archdiocese has gone one step further and cancelled all public Masses.
I would really like to see all US dioceses suspend public Masses for the duration of the coronavirus epidemic. As I have said elsewhere on CAF, private Masses could still be celebrated, and the graces of the Mass would flow freely upon the Church and the world. And another thing to consider: I hate to sound crass, but this would cause a sharp decline in revenues for parishes and dioceses, unless the faithful were to contribute online. Just something to bear in mind.
