Does every comment with a different viewpoint have to be part of some liberal agenda?Does every single word need to be parsed out, analyzed in a pedantic way, and compared to the liberal narrative?

If it is about raising awareness of bullying why is it called “LGBT Day of Silence”. I doubt they are the only children being bullied. When I was in school 25yrs ago I was bullied by some girls because I was a virgin. I can only imagine how a girl might be treated now for being chaste. Do they have a day of silence for virgins? I can remember kids being bullied because they didn’t look just right or maybe didn’t wear the right clothes. Do they have a day of silence for “geeks”?
You are right, no one should be bullied, but if the day was about bullying, they would not single out “LGBT”. Since they do, it seems it’s more of pushing acceptance of their lifestyle than anti-bullying. IMO
SighAlways wrong to disrespect or hate.I just don’t believe gay folks are all that disrespected and hated. It is actually celebrated by a large portion of our country now if you haven’t noticed. What you call hatred and disrespect is actually people feeling their values being attacked at every corner. I apologize if you felt attacked in any way. It was not my intention. Btw? Catholics are being attacked as we speak by our very own government because of our refusal to supply birth control on the churches dime.God Bless.
As someone who also experienced getting bullied growing up, I think the root of why you got bullied was because there was something about you that was different than the group. A group of “gay” kids could bully a straight kid for being different from their group. I agree that it would be good if all bullying would stop. But I don’t agree that some reasons for bullying should be given priority over other reasons for it since those reasons are superficial to the root of why kids bully other kids.I have personal reasons for being against bullying, especially bullying directed against homosexuals.
You see I personally was bullied in High School by football players who had the mistaken perception that I was homosexual when the opposite was true.
But I was slow to mature, I was skinny and religious and I never bought into the machismo ideal. I did not smoke or chew, I did not drink beer at all, and I was not fornicating as often as possible. In the eyes of the football players who were ignorant that automatically made me homosexual.
Following the moral teachings of the church makes you homosexual?
I don’t. I think it’s part of life and fundamental to the processes of biological evolution.I think all prejudice is evil…

a (1) : preconceived judgment or opinion (2) : an adverse opinion or leaning formed without just grounds or before sufficient knowledge
Discrimination: dictionary.reference.com/browse/discriminationb : an instance of such judgment or opinion
- treatment or consideration of, or making a distinction in favor of or against, a person or thing based on the group, class, or category to which that person or thing belongs rather than on individual merit: racial and religious intolerance and discrimination.
- the power of making fine distinctions; discriminating judgment: She chose the colors with great discrimination.
They can be amoral. Though, arguably one can use them as tools for immorality.
- Archaic. something that serves to differentiate.
I think the issue is that a lot of people seem to lump all homosexuals with homosexual activists. I too have known and been friends with several homosexuals, and none of them pushed their agenda or lives the way the activists do. I think that there is a good number of homosexuals that just want to be left alone and keep their private life silent, and the activists make them look bad.I don’t hate gays. I don’t fear gays.I am angry with, and I think righteously angry with, those who hate and fear gays. I have known gays. I find many gays to be enlightened and interesting people. Some I find amusing, as I find other types of people amusing. I believe their orientation is abnormal and can be, according to the CCC, a trial. I believe that homosexual acts are gravely disordered because I trust my Church and that is what the Church I trust teaches me. I do not support gay marriage because the concept is oxymoronic - that is, it is a logically meaningless play with words, much like the old “Can God make a rock so big he can’t lift it?” thing.
CREC pastor Doug Wilson over at his BLOG AND MABLOG said what I think is a perceptive thing, and I paraphrase, but not, I think, too much: “This has nothing to do with what they can do in private. It has everything to do with what you will be allowed to say about it in public.” Homosexual activists, I believe, do not want compassion. They do not want acceptance. They want celebration! (Romans 1:32)
It does when it is defending things like “LGBT”.Does every comment with a different viewpoint have to be part of some liberal agenda?
I disagree with the premise that saying ANY group should not be targeted for hatred or bullying is part of any agenda other than caring about your fellow humans. It does when it is defending things like “LGBT”.
We are not talking about just any group. We are talking about a group associated with an ideology that evokes moral concern.I disagree with the premise that saying ANY group should not be targeted for hatred or bullying is part of any agenda other than caring about your fellow humans.
Still not a reason to target a group with hatred. Hatred of their actions, fine, hatred of the people, no!We are not talking about just any group. We are talking about a group associated with an ideology that evokes moral concern.
What hatred? That is a propaganda word. LGBT is a propaganda issue. If you want to stop bullying that is great. No reason to invoke these groups though.Still not a reason to target a group with hatred. Hatred of their actions, fine, hatred of the people, no!
In other (shorter) words, your answer is “no, I don’t have any specific examples to back up my accusation that some people say other bullying is OK.”If they wanted to say that all forms of bullying are wrong they would say that and not make it specific to a single group for special protection especially since in reality straight kids get bullied at least as much as “gays” do. I know this from personal experience since as a straight kid I got bullied a lot. The notion that people get bullied because of “sexual orientation” ignores the root cause of bullying which is because there is something about them that isn’t like the rest of the group. When being “gay” is considered the norm more straight kids will probably start getting bullied for being the different ones. We already see the government bullying Christians for being different than the secular amoral status quo.
All one needs to do is to look at the number of occasions when someone in the public suggests opening the “cause” to include all those bulllied, and observe what has immediately tanspired as a response by the LGBT community to not being considered a “special” category. In other (shorter) words, your answer is “no, I don’t have any specific examples to back up my accusation that some people say other bullying is OK.”
