“Continuation of earth” – well, remember that post resurrection, there will also be a New Earth for us to walk our new bare feet around on

So in a sense, life post resurrection will be earthly.
However, I doubt that we will regret anything we missed from our human life. The wisdom of our restored minds will far overcome any mortal regrets of that type.

None of us knows, and we’re not going to know until we’re there. There are, however, a few hints like the “new heaven and new earth”, the “communion of saints”, and so on.
I have speculated that we will have as much union with God as we can handle, understanding that God is infinite and we will never exhaust His beauty, wisdom, knowledge. But I have also speculated that we will have a freedom so utterly complete that we will be able to satisfy every curiosity imaginable. We want to know what goes on inside a tree, we can enter the tree and observe. The deep ocean? We can be there and see what paths the whales follow. We want to know what’s inside a black hole? We go there and watch the atoms whirl or clump or whatever they do; feel the heat just as it is but without pain or damage, dart to the far corners of the universe with a thought, see an angel as it really is, but always, always, basking in the love and beauty of God. And yes, His music. We will see, hear, smell music. The rumblings and crashes of supernovae will, then, have a rhythm and a harmony we can’t perceive now.
As to other people, I have thought glorified bodies would have glorified minds. We will see and perceive every person who ever lived, simultaneously, if we wish. We will simultaneously see each person as babies, as teens, as adults, as elders, all at once, and in their respective glorified states. We can, if we wish, go back to their earthly lives with them from the dawn of time, and see it all as it really was because in the Mind of God there is no time. We want to share with some ancient Egyptian what his life was? We can go there. They will be entirely open to us, voluntarily, and we to them. Having been forgiven of everything by then, we will have nothing we wish to hide. And we will see those individuals’ beauty in a way that only God could see before.
Personally, I don’t think we have so much as a clue as to how wonderful it will be.
